I am going to the doc today to see about TRT.. I had been doing it for 8 months under my PCP but she did not believe in it and made me go the office every month for a 1ML doe of 200 ml... I was told this was doing absolutely nothing for me and my numbers after 6 months came back lower that initial. That and I was burning 1/4 day of vacation a month plus 50 a visit.
I have tried to read what I can and like everything on the net you find the good, the bad and the middle.
I tryto workout a few times a week but after 10 hour work days and 1 and a half in the car I am beat.
I presently weigh 240 down from 290 16 months ago. I really don't eat a lot and mostly it is a Atkins style.
Any feed back would be appreciated

Welcome.

What were your t levels before you started injecting test?

Your PCP really screwed you. She shut off your body's natural test and left you with less than your body was probably making.

TRT doses are generally 100mg-180mg a week. Ideally split over two injections.

This goes to show you most of the medical community knows absolutely nothing about hormone replacement therapy. Why would a doctor prescribe someone one injection per month when the half-life is approximately eight days depending on how you metabolize the ester? You would feel much better at 100mg to 200mg per week. You will need something to control your estrogen as well.

Find yourself an Endo or a TRT clinic.

Guys thank you for all the replies... i plan in digging in here to learn more.
I want to say my first test a year ago was total T was about 200.. after 6 months it was 175.
The DR I went to today said pretty much the same thing. He said most Dr don't or wont pay attention to the evidence and
move forward.
Big thing for me is he is fine with me administering at home where the PCP was not. to me that just reeked of them making 45 to 60 a shot
that they can charge.

so the rx it it 200mg / 1 ML once a week.
my last test showed the following

Description read amount range
total t 175 300 to 890
free t 30.3 47 to 244
available t 84.5 130 to 680
sex hormone 33 11 to 80

200mg once a week is a pretty common starting point. I predict you will end up about half that but seems your starting point is common. 100mg once a week puts me at the top of the range 3days after injection. You will need AI at 200 for sure. I need a bit even at 100mg.
HCG will keep the chestnuts from withering away

What us AI? I have seen things about HCG.. neither
doctor talked about it. Prescription also?

"Your gonna get nowhere fast on just 200mg of TC."
I am not trying to be mr universe.. just get some weight off and get a little healthier.

fuck the more I read the cloudier it gets.. take this..dont take that.. do this dont do this... here spend ******** and year... what the hell.. is there a definitive guideline on this.

Yes as IMT suggested testosterone cypionate, HCG and anastrozole. These are the 3 most basic components of a comprehensive TRT plan.

doing more looking and finding more things.
I only have an Rx for T not the rest... should I write off the 150 i spent on that appointment and look further?

If you don't mind paying out of pocket call IMT. They are the best at what they do. I can't really think of many people on the planet that have more actual experience.

I wouldn't stop the T but by week 6 you really need to have the rest figured out.

Hope this helps.

I haven't started yet.. i am still getting information.. out of pocket is not cheap.
I have to call the Dr back

I think you misunderstood. 200mg is actually a pretty high dose, almost always too high to use without controlling estrogen (via Anastrozole)

Even more so if you have high body fat.
