For you power guys do any of you find it to be a pain balencing your raw strength and your shirt/board strength?

REcently I fel tlike I was lossing something raw so I have concentrated on that and it's not only back up to par but just great. Now tinight though I felt like my boards were alittle weak.

THe obvious is to just switch back and forth to keep the balence but if you stuck with one or the other longer I feel like gains would really increase.

How do you guys break up your w/o's

raw strength and a strong shirted bench are 2 different things
being strong raw does not necessarily equat to a strng shirt bench

if you are a bench only guy its easier to keep ur raw strength up as well as ur shirt strength..If you are a 3 lift guy its a little harder..at least its hard for me being that i dont use any super supps so benching hard 2x week will make my bench go down very quickly not to mention it stresses my shoulder and the shoulders get hit 2 more times on both squat days..

I compete in a 2-ply fed so i could give a rats ass what my raw bench is as long as my shirted bench is going up

I'd like to keep a strong raw bench for several reasons. I want to compete sometimes raw in my federation and in others. Also I feel it means that I have more functional strength.

I do bench twice a week but not heavy on both by anymeans. Typically speed on on eand heavy on the other. on the heacy day On the 2nd day I do a 2 workout cycle. One is heavy raw and baords. One is heavy boards and shirt. week to week.

I need to try reverse bancds, get back into chains and do regular band work.
