Is a mans muscle mass determined by how much testosterone he produces on a daily given day? Im just curious becuase I was thinking lets say I produce (example only) 6mg of testosterone a day and I weight 170lbs naturally with 6% BF at a height of 5'7" and another guy who comes by who is the same height, but he weights 195lbs with 6% BF, but he produces 8mg of testosterone/day then whats the point of me lifting anymore then knowing I cant build any more muscle mass becuase im limited by how much natural testosterone I produce? I hope I dont sound dumb, but it just crossed my mind why keep trying so damn hard day in and day out to gain muscle if im stuck naturally at a specific muscle mass amount.

very strange question...my advice would be never give up..cause that's what its sounds like your trying to do. you can always better your self. and you may still end up lookin better than that guy. plus by busting your ass you will increase you nat test levels also. just keep pluggin away. make the best of it.

and remember the big 3
bench
dead
squat
keep em in the 3-5 rep range and your natty test levels will rise.
get enough sleep and eat enough.

i posted a thread not to long ago on how to raise natty test levels here in the training forum. just do a quick search for natural testosterone and it should bring it up for you.

Its not just testosterone. A whole lot of things go into what your muscle mass is now and what it can be.

Keep working out.

yeah I know it was strange, but im also being serious thats also not a joke post or anything it just hit me the other day I was just thinking about a women how she can not naturally be as muscular as a man overall, but then i thought about men vs men the same questions about muscularity. Not giving up, but sometimes I dont train as hard as I used to thats all I was just thinking maybe im hiting my 30s now and my test. is getting lower than before.

Its not T-levels (testosterone). Its genetics. The natural muscle freaks out there do not necessarily have extrodinary T-levels. They just have plain ol' god blessed genetics. With all the gear in the world and the best training you will never ever come even close to looking like a pro bodybuilder. Not even close! however, you can make great progress with what you have with proper training/diet/rest . . . . . lil gear never hurt neither...

Most of it is body structure which is primarily genetic---but training hard and eating right will work wonders on what some would call a genetically inferior body for bodybuilding. Diet is really important.

i would have to agree with huskyguy. your genetics determine what you look/will look like no matter what drugs are out there or nutrition and training. however the training/diet can go along ways.

The human body is far, far more complex than one simple little ass hormone or even receptor count for that hormone determining such a thing. Of testosterone itself you have many things coming into play, receptors, free test levels vs total test, and of course a lot more shit I dont even know.

Stress levels, sleep, diet, training, and so many factors go into what you are going to look like as an end product - drugs or no drugs you have many things working for and against you.

im a stressed person. im sure this affects me. am i fucked because of it? im just always on edge and constantly worrying about stupid shit.

and i think i have sleep apnea too. im gonna get a sleep study. its no wonder why my gains are slow and suck.

If you pay a visit to IronAddicts board you will find someone who talks a lot about breathing even during the day and how it affects you, as well as things that boost cortisol etc (stress).

thats deep man.....gheez...to build muscle then it safe to say your body and mind have to be in a so called, "good mood" then...no kind of stress or it kills muscle building..now I can see why ronnie coleman gets massages and manicures to relaz himself.....

no i mean i can sleep ALL DAY. i sleep for a good 7-8 hours and just dead tired when i wake up. i dont know what refreshed means or energy. i never have it. these words do not exist in my life. my life is just anxiety, fatigue, lethargy, tiredness, misery, pain, suffering, weakness, bullshit, paranoia, worrying and more bullshit.
