A Question of Symmetry?

I often hear people talk about this topic. But what is symmetry? Is it in the eye of the beholder, something very subjective? Or is it objective, is there a set of rules or guidelines to follow. Is there ratio’s of muscle size that dictate symmetry? Calf size to Thigh size, Arm to Forearm, etc.

Just Wondering.

symmetry to me is how muscles look in comparison to other muscles
it's like the guy in the gym who has a big chest but no legs/no symmetry
a person who has big quads but no calves
this is just my opinion though
 
Actually, I think I've read about proper bb symtery. It listed ratios of calf sizes to bi's thighs, chest, etc

Hey guys i'll try and help with this. I've researched this for a LONG time cause i really do think symetry is important. Here are my numbers.
You really can't do anything about things like wrists, knees, and shit. This is what I would go by.

Biceps, Neck, Calves.............35% of Chest Measurement
Forearm................................30% " "
Waist....................................60% " "
Thigh....................................50% " "

what is your technique for measuring chest? flex right aroudn the nips or what?
