How would Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) use lead to blood clots forming in the legs that were so severe both legs would end up being amputated?
Did anyone else see that story on Sportscenter late lastnight that was about the guy who is now 57 years old, and was once a boxer back in the late 60's early 70's? After he got his ass kicked by George Foreman he decided he was too skinny and wanted to start AAS. He began with Dbol, and later added Deca. He didnt say whether he cycled or not, but he did state that he was using for years and years. Around the mid 70's he developed blood clots in his legs which was caused by the Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) he was told. Eventually it got so bad both legs were amputated. Now he tours the USA talking to highschool kids about the dangers of AAS.
Anyone have any ideas why this happened? Maybe an abcess at the injection sites? Could his cholesterol, ect... gotten so bad that he developed clots?
Thanks fellas.
