I am interested in the average age of everyone on this board and the changing affects age has had on your training i.e. more injurys, slower gains, lower energy, degrading body. Did steroids help more as you got older ?
I just turned 50 last month so I am definitely an "Old Fart". I can honestly state that I benefit more from Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) now than ever before. We now live in the "information age" so much of the increased benefit is due to much more info on AAS, diet, and training. I have also benefited greatly by gaining more knowledge on how my own body responds to AAS, diet and training. The availability of all the different Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) is so much greater now than ever before which helps as well.

My biggest obsticle at my age is low natural HGH levels. 3 years ago I was taking HGH injections and got into the best condition of my life. I did a major regional contest Masters Division, (age 40 and over), and took 3rd place. I currently have expenditures which will not allow me the luxury of HGH injections otherwise I would be in even better condition now.

P.S. I've been taking P-GH for the past 7-8 months and it has done little to raise my natural HGH levels.

Congades Deepglutes...same here pushing 44 but feel 18 & act it sometimes ticks the ms off. Hey did you do HGH levels? We're 20 years behead time in my area. I was wonder how expensive it would be to get HGH level done. How should it being done due HGH levels daily fluctuations. BTW I have never done HGH, but am thinking requesting from my Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I did test levels last summer and measured 461ng/dL.
Lucky it's like wine bro. I don't have to play around, I know exactly in the training department what work for me. I hit hard and intense! Recovery seems about the same as back in the day. One thing I have taken notice of is, I train first thing in the mornings around 6:00 and on a heavy day of legs and back I find myself in need of a power nap about noon. Injuries none major since devorcing PL to inflate the ego. Power Lifting can be a harst mistress to bed.

I can certainly relate to what you're saying about thinking that you are younger than you actually are. I think and feel, (in my heart), like a 25 year old, but my body is always reminding me that I am 50. I played college football, had all the cartilage removed from my left knee and my right knee has deteriated because of my favoring it all these years. It makes it difficult to keep the size up in the legs. I am starting to notice the pain more and more in the knees.

I never had my HGH levels tested, but statistically they are very low by my age. Just a low dose of 1 I.U. 5 days on 2 days off got me incredibly lean when I was injecting it 3 years ago.

Pharmaceutical prices for HGH are rediculous, so your best bet is to go underground. You can get quality generic HGH from China for $1.60 per I.U. shipped internationally, or $2.00 domestically. I would love to do 4 I.U.'s per day while on cycle and 2 I.U.'s per day while off for about six months.

When I was in my 20's and competing in BB contest, all I had to do to get lean was to stay away from Mac Donalds. Ah, the good old days!

Thanks for your input Deepglutes. I have asked about the price @ my pharmacy and they quoted $160/15ui and of course my insurance will not pay for it, I was surpise it pays for test & deca. I will try it later on after more surveillance marking reports of sides are established, but I am certain preventive medience is the way. Congards again, keep pushing. I believe one will rust out before they will wear out. I am not stopping to see!

I'm only 27 and I have already noticed the difference that my training has taken. I have been training for over 12 years and my body/muscles have changed. My muscles are now used to pusshing maximum weights and their output is seemingly all or nothing. Having said this, now I need to do less then ever to get the results I want, i.e. less volume. If I do too much my CNS is fried. Nto so much a result of aging per se, but just a resulting of the amount of time that I have put into training I would say.

This is a profound reality which took me much longer to come to understand. All the muscle mags of the past, (which before the internet were the primary source of info), would talk about over training but never wrote specificaly about what was being over trained. I spent years moving in and out of an over trained state before I realize on my own that it was my CNS and not my muscles which were over trained.

Young guys today have no idea how much an advantage you have over the guys of 10 years ago or more, simply because of the info you now have access to.

Arnold made his greatest progress first when he moved to Munich Germany, which would have been a center of info in Europe, and then moving to Venice Beach, CA which has always been the Meca of modern bodybuilding.

they say your only as young as the girl you feel so i guess im 39.......lol

That is a profound statement Ape! That sheds a new light on things. You see I decided to go back to school 2 years ago. So I applied for nursing and got the hell accepted. One of my first classes had 204 students. 2 guys & 202 girls, the cream of the crop women. I will never be the same again. My test levels are at max out bro. I have not even thought about going to a tit bar since getting in school with all these girls. From here on anything would be down hill! To top it off my wife of 23 years teaches nursing and see this, so she’s got to one up these girls. I’m in heaven! I am having a blast! I recommend it for everyone as preventive medicine for andropause! :horny:

ANd eating puppy drum fish...lol. Jimmy isn't your AV a drum?

we call them Redfish here in Florida but yes it is also known as a red drum. I caught a 17 lb red last weekend. took 20 minutes to land it in 2 foot of water.

Seriously though. GH in FL is fairly easy to get. Check out an anti-aging clinic over here. Also my pharmacy is a compounding pharmacy and they make their own generic HGH and freeze dry it there. It's CHEAP. I do 5 ius a day

I am 32 and I have to say that it is a lot harder to train now compared to when I was in my 20's. I am more prone to injuries and have to have more rest then what I just to have. Gear has helped me very much and it is good to hear from all of you guys in their 40's and up. the bad thing though is my knees are shot from 17 years of lifting and I have had difficulties in squating and have to not do them becuase of the day after squating and not being able to walk up stairs

I did my first cycle when I was about 40. I am 44 now and Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) has given me a new lease on life. It's funny the majority of the guys here are in their 20's or 40's. I think we slack in our 30's with marriage and career, then in our 30's get disgusted with the way we let ourselves go and decide to get back into it. Just a thought. It's basically what happened to me.

Started with weights at 18, first cycle 27 or 28, took a break from all Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) from about 33 to 43, felt it was time for a boost, never stopped working out, no excuses, i have to say i have squated and heavy since i dicovered them and how they can single-handedly change your body but i do pay the price of age. At 45 i don't have the luxury to hit it hard when i feel like i, at this age your body usually tells you when its recovered enough. If your smart you can prolong the heavy stuff but i think one day at 50, 315 on your back for reps could only be a memory. All and all i'mm bigger than i ever was maybe not as lean but still have nice vascularity and fullness. Good luck to all. PS> If i new then what i know now my training would have been totally diff. and joints would have most likley not been as much of an issue.

well I'm glad I don't lift heavy like some mofo's on this board...looks like my joints might just survive! What's the point is big muscles if u can't walk up the stairs :D

Thing is you cant only go light weight, always change things up.
Ofcourse steroids will give you better gains etc.... that you should have known by now ;)

If you don't keep score why the F play! If I get a pain in a joint, I work that mofo. Maybe just me but it don't ache! Never stop!
