Alternatives to HCG to preserve fertility?

I seem to be having an allergic reaction to HCG (pregnyl), after every HCG shot I've had shortness of breath that starts the next day and have also noticed I break out in hives all over my shoulders.
Are there any alternatives to preserve fertility? I've heard about HMG or low-dose clomid can help maintain fertility, is this true? Not going to be able to continue on HCG as this shortness of breath is really quite limiting and as I'm only 24, I'd really like my nuts not to atrophy so I can have kids one day.

HMG mimics FSH.

Found this...

"The most significant disparity is in the fact that HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - mimics lh - leutenizing hormone - (luetinized hormone). It gives the body a false signal that lh - leutenizing hormone - is present and everything else responds accordingly. HMG actually elevates natural lh - leutenizing hormone - . Now to some, there***8217;s little difference, but it***8217;s always better when the body reacts in the most natural manner. There***8217;s also less of a chance of building up a tolerance when this occurs. And in the case of HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - , tolerance is developed pretty quickly. You see, Mother Nature is pretty sharp. You can fool her a few times but after a while, she catches on and refuses to cooperate. That***8217;s why excessive HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - use is not recommend. Use too much, too often, and it won***8217;t work at all.

Exactly how much LESS suppressive HMG is appears to still remain speculative. But it***8217;s a good guess that it***8217;s less so.

There***8217;s another, still empirical, opinion that HMG causes less of an estrogen spike. The use of HMG for bodybuilding purposes is so new there***8217;s no way of proving this one-way or the other. Yet. But again, it stands to reason this is so.

One absolute difference between the two compounds is the fact that HMG raises FSH - follicle stimulating hormone - (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) and HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - does not. Again, this is due to the fact that HCG - human chorionic gonadotropin - works synthetically and HMG stimulates the entire feedback loop. This is especially appealing since an increase in FSH - follicle stimulating hormone - means higher sperm count and ejaculate volume. "

Could be a very interesting alternative.

I don't know if it is a long-term alternative. You should talk to an Endo about it.

Probably will, but looking at the cost, it's not a cheap alternative.

Been reading that Ovidrel might be an alternative as it's a synthetic HCG and I may not react to it like Pregnyl. I'll have to say what my doc says in a few weeks. In the mean time I'm going to stop the HCG, shame as my nuts had just started to plump back up.

Running clomid by itself is an option. It likely won't out you in an optimum T range but would be a shorter term solution for fertility. I don't believe it's recommended long term or as an addition to TRT.

Definitely not looking for a short term solution. Not really looking to have kids for about 10 years.

Make a sperm deposit at the local bank just in case.

Have you talked to your pharmacist about hCG allergic reactions?

Have you tried even taking a bit of benadryl or something with the hCG to see if that help prevent the allergic reaction?

maybe the HCG is causing anxiety related side effects ?
shortness of breath is also an anxiety side effect.
