alright guys, i'm 5'11 180-185 lbs i have a lot of fat around my stomach and obliques that i REALLy wanna get rid of, i run 2 miles a day and i do abs every other day, do you guys think thats good and in time i'll lose it, or should i make my cardio more intense and run longer. it usually takes me about 20-24 min to run the 2 miles and i burn about 250 cal.

What does your diet look like, its great that you are doing cardio but without your diet in check you could be wasting your time.

You don't need to do ab exercises. Lifts that involve a large number of muscles would be more effective for reducing fat. You do realize that you can not spot reduce fat, right? So doing ab exercises will not burn fat around your stomach. Aside from running and ab exercises, what else do you do?
Your diet is important as well. How much are you eating?

as the guys said, you can run your ass off every day but unless your diet is right it will make very little difference and will most likely just frustrate you. try to post your diet if not on a set diet then what sort of foods you usually eat

this is what my training looks like

monday. back and bi's
tuesday. legs
wensday. chest and tris
thursday. shoulders and traps
friday. legs
sat. rest
sun. rest

i just starting training like that about 4-5 months ago, before that i didnt know how to work out properly and i would just go to the gym and do everything. about a year ago i weighed about 215 lbs, i was really chunky and did not look good. i just stopped drinking soda and eating fast food and i started losing weight over time. well anyways, my goal is to be lean and cut. i try to follow the cutting primer by rambo but i just lost my job and its just hard to keep up. i eat chicken breast, veggies, eggs, oatmeal, wheat bread, penut butter etc. but that usually runs out fast and i dont have a job right now but as soon as i get one, i plan on training my ass off.

it takes time to loose that abdominal fat. keep running and watch your diet. maybe try low carbs. be patient it will happen, just dont give up too soon.
