ok i am 30 years old 5"10 low 220's (yeah some bf i am bulking and wont cut untill april)
ok bench day goes as follows
flat bench
135x15
185x10
225x10
250x10
275x8
315x5
330x3
350x1
365x1 the 1 reps sets are once a month
tried 380 last week and got stuck about 1 inch from the top, batard ass weight but it messed up my brachialis and my anterior deltoid some. weak link i guess.

then incline
135x10
185x10
225x8
250x3

then decline
185x10
225x10
250x8
275x4 to 6 cant remember excatly

then flys
4 sets to failure dont remember weight rack only goes to 200 i think (pec deck)

if thats over training in the offical book then i am a over trainer. it takes that much to make me fill pumped. my father-in-law is a old power lifter and thats mostly his methods. arm work outs are the same. legs are worse (coming back from a torn quad, from doing squats for the first time in almost 10 years i think) its like a set or reps for each plate and the horzontial press holds 11 plates (i think, been 8 weeks since i put any weight on it anyway) then do incline press for 4 to 5 sets. wide stance then narrow stance . 10 reps wide 5 narrow is his route. back and shoulders are not as bad, since we all have somewhat fucked up shoulders. i am on syus 300 and deca right now for a long term of over 20 weeks. i went from 194 to 221/224 so far ,i was taking my shot every 10 days, then i got jumped on by someone here and changed it to every 7 days instead. oh abs, lower back ,forearms and calves dont get skipped but they get hit 2 times a week (except lower back). after typing all that i feel like i work out way to much. i do leave a 1 or 2 minutes for rest between sets.

thats well over 200 total reps not even counting warmups or flys so yes you are overtraining . feeling the pump doesnt mean your growing .

thats warm ups, 135 is warm ups. if i dont feel like the blood is in the muscle , i feel like i am not done. where would you stop off?

im not a fan of pyramiding up in weight with so many reps .
a couple of sets of 10 with 135 for warmups the maybe 4-6 reps through 185/225/etc. until you get to your heavy sets ,some even do doubles or singles to save their energy . you are doing a lot of work long before getting to your heavy sets which takes a lot out of you and probablly cost you reps/weight on the heavy sets .
pullinbig will see this after while and give you some good input as well but most if not all here will probablly tell you thats too many reps and or not a well laid out rep/set scheme .

scary part is i was reading a post by minx and PB and it seems that this might be a N.C board more than a national board lol. 1 hour to raleigh, 20 mins to greensboro 10 mins to burlington. PB help a fellow carolina boy out :help:

the man knows his shit .

of course when your as full of shit as he is you should know it :insane2:

I don't see why your chest needs so much work, but doing that much work explains why you have so many injuries, I suppose.

while i agree with Dawg
some peopel can handle higher amonts of work..

the fact that you are asking mean that more than likely you are overtraining..have your weights been stagnant?

doesnt matter if you train with singles and doubles or sets of 10 if the weights you are using for that rep range arent moving you arent growing..

it may just be using a better warm up plan like dawg suggested
i like lots of warm up sets especailly when benching but from 185 on im doing 5's or 3's and then sningles before i get to where i want to start :)

i keep getting stronger almost bi weely i would say.
but your saying to do 185 for 5 and not 10 , so dont max out with lighter weight? just push it a few times to push towards the weight i wanna do? instead of 225 10 times do it 3 or 5 as well? i am understading what you mean? my injuries are mostly from my younger dumber days , i just piss them off somethimes and they show back up. i guess you could call them war injuries lol
