Anastrazole ad Tamoxifen - blood test on TRT

Some quick stats:
- 150mg TestEnanth split into 2x/wk injections (75mg each)
- 0.5mg down to 0.25g anastrazole 24 hours after each injection
- 20mg/day tamoxifen to try reverse existing gyno

So I just got some blood test results back. I had the test 24 hours after injection of 75mg TestEnanth. Results are as follows:
Serum Testosterone: 2408 ng/dl (ref range: 288-923)
Free Test: 710 pg/ml (ref range: 46-200)
Estradiol: 30 pg/ml (ref range: 10-44)
TSH: 0.63 (on thyroxine medication - 50mcg/day - for subclinical hypothyroidism)

Test is so high, way over reference. Is still normal for 24 hours after injection? And is there anything that anyone thinks I should be adjusting?

Is it possible that the tamoxifen has given a false reading for E2, as the assay may potentially pick it up as E2?

Wow! Test at 2400 ng/dl on 150 mg/week! Since blood was drawn 24 hrs after injection, that should be close to a peak. Nevertheless, incredible response!

It would be a more meaningful measurement if you had bloods drawn just before your next injection. Still, with twice a week injections, there is not a lot of variation between peak and trough.

A level of 2400 ng/dl is more like a steroid cycle rather than TRT. Unless you are trying to get huge, you should probably lower your dose.

My last blood test, which was at trough (morning of evening injection), was 806 ng/dl. It still doesn't make sense to me how the peak is so high.

Might seem silly, but I'd double check the concentration of your testosterone. I have a friend that was on 100mg/ml vials from the pharmacy, and was doing 1ml twice a week. Apparently the pharmacy changed him over to 200mg/ml vials, so he ran 400mg/wk on accident for a month and a half before he noticed.

Just a possibility. :)

I don't think tamoxifen has an impact on serum testosterone values in a Roche assay, but it can on estradiol. I do know that there are a few other drugs that can give a false high, but most are either AAS, or more commonly used by females.

You could try a sensitive assay to rule things out, assuming this was ECLIA.

I'm from Australia, so we don't have the optionof choosing sensitive test, but I think all ours are sensitive anyways.
