well, im about to run Anavar (var) at 50mg ed for 8 weeks and was wondering has any1 tried a Anavar (var) only cycle, and if so is shutdown bad? coz not sure if i should use hcg or not with that..
my stats: age 24, weight 198lbs 6'1 18% and been training for 3 yrs and this is my first cycle

low carb diet!!!!!!!! and ya add 2 weeks... get the full gains u can... you'll have some fun with var... rememeber u wanna lose good weight 40 mins intense cardio a day is good for ya :) good luck

actually i am looking to add weight on that cycle, i may do 2 x 45 min cardio a week my diet is clean but its definately a bulker. what results do u guys think i should expect from this?
as for the duration of the cycle, i cannot add 2 weeks since ill be travelling in 2 months and i wanna finish cycle and post cycle therapy (pct) by then, that is why i chose to run at 50mg rather than 40 for 10 weeks...

Anavar will shut you down and it's shutdown is dose dependant. post cycle therapy (pct) is inevitable. HCG depending on dosage could be used but would probably not be needed until later in the cycle.

Low doses.............

"Studies using low dosages of this compound note minimal interferences with natural testosterone production. Likewise when it is used alone in small amounts there is typically no need for ancillary drugs like Clomid/Nolvadex or Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG). This has a lot to do with the fact that it does not convert to estrogen, which we know has an extremely profound effect on endogenous hormone production. Without estrogen to trigger negative feedback, we seem to note a higher threshold before inhibition is noted."

Higher doses....... (i.e. typical to bodybuilders)

"But at higher dosages of course, a suppression of natural testosterone levels will still occur with this drug as with any anabolic/androgenic steroid and therefore require post cycle therapy to restore the HPTA."

from what i have read on here, i have personally never used Anavar (var), it still shuts you down because people were asking if they can use it for bridging
