Anxiety days after my shot

I'm 46 and going on my third shot. I take 1ml/1cc of testosterone injection every two weeks. After the shot I have anxiety issues with heart pulps for about five days then it seems to go away. Is this normal? Should I lower my dose? or should I just deal with it? I work out 4/6 times a week so I feel I'm in shape. Never really had any issues with anxiety till after that first shot. I actually went to the emergency room cause I thought my blood pressure was going through the room but they said my pressure was fine I was having anxiety issues. I get my T through a doctor who ran a couple blood test on me and monitors me well. He said my level was to low[under 200] so its really helped me out with energy, strength, mentally and in the bedroom but its just the first five days after my shot that's driving me crazy..lol. Like I said I'm going on my third shot so I hope it just goes away. I truly did do research on this forum before asking this question but I couldn't find an answer so please if you've been here where I'm at please chime in with some advice or tips. Thanks

Has your doctor run any bloods since you've been on?

Do you know what ester of testosterone you've been prescribed? One injection every 2 weeks is far too infrequent. You're likely experiencing high/higher estradiol than your used to shortly after the shot, and then when your TT begins to drop your estradiol follows and the anxiety disappears.

What you really need first up is stable levels. Find out what ester your running. If it's enanthate ask your doctor to let you inject twice per week. Undecaonate can be injected once per week.

Once you have your levels stabilized you need to do blood work and see where your estradiol is. If it's still higher than it should be, you will need to incorporate an AI (aromatase inhibitor) into your TRT protocol. Does he have you on hCG as well?

It's dumbfounding how many doctors don't ever take this into consideration... how do they not understand half-lives? Or the need for stable levels? Or aromatization?? Lol! Sometimes I think we should be handing out the scripts lol.

alot of the guys here could open their own clinic and make a fortune. :)

I'm not really sure prince.I'm so new to this but on the bottle it has cypionate injection ups. My doctor has my appointment setup four months from now but I need one sooner to get this under control. I was just thinking what if I cut my dose down a quarter would that help? Thanks a lot for the help guys I truly just don't have anyone to talk to that's on the same stuff.

Yeah Testosterone Cypionate needs to be injected twice a week. Cyp's half life is roughly 8 days. So you have your shot, your test (and estradiol) levels come up, then about a week later they are half of what they were (roughly.) Then by the time you do your next shot they are a quarter what they were. Then your next shot they rise again, same deal. See what hiram1st means about a hormonal roller coaster?

The more your T fluctuates the more you will convert to estradiol. Technically your levels will still be building slightly with each shot for another couple weeks as well, which means the peak & trough of your estradiol (and T) will keep going up slightly.
One of the main side effects of high estradiol (e2) is anxiety and mood swings/depression.

Cutting your dose will lower e2 but I don't think it's the right way to go. You'll also be cutting your T levels = back to feeling like crap. If you self-inject change to 0.5ml/cc every three and a half days. For example a shot every monday morning and thursday night. That should make things better within a week or so.

After you've been on twice-weekly injections for around 5-6 weeks, go back and get your blood work run and see where estradiol is sitting. It will be stable by then and you and your doctor can determine if you need an AI or not. At the moment it's swinging way high and then dropping way too low. Get it stable, then check.

Hope this helps :)

Man this is great info and thanks for helping. I'm going to check with my doctor just to let him know what's going on. Thanks again guy's

hey prince, just curious what you think about this in regards to a blast.. I'm currently on a blast, I'm taking my prescribed test c at 200 mg monday, then my extra gear test e 200 mg on friday.. two different esters, but close to being the same.. is this gonna make for fluctuations and possibly increase estrogen like you stated ..

was planning on running my test like this for my cycle,, which also includes dbol, npp, deca, proviron, at the moment then adding in masteron and primo..

is there a better way to dose the test then what I'm doing.. note: I decided to go UGL and get test e for this cycle to go along with my trt script grade test cyp, rather then getting a bunch more test cyp at a higher cost

Start your own thread hijacker :p Haha, jk.

So you'll be running 200mg enth and 200mg cyp? Well to answer your question the two esters are interchangeable, so nothing to worry about there. Same as running 400mg of either. I'm sure you know though there will be more aromatization from the extra TT, but you won't fluctuate any more. Well, to be super-technical you would, but it's entirely insignificant. Don't even worry about it, you'll never notice.

I asked my doctor about this. He said they recommend a shot every two weeks because most people are fearful of the shots. He said he makes that recommendation until the person has taken a few shots, then he suggests moving to weekly shots to even out the roller coaster. I asked if I could do every 3.5 days and he said I could shoot as often as I wished provided I divided up my dose properly.

My bad, I got one thing wrong bud. I told you to pin 0.5ml every 3.5 days, but that would be doubling your dose lol. It skipped over me that your pinning 1ml every two weeks! So you'd want to be pinning 0.25ml every 3.5days... Let things stabilize, then get bloods. You may want to up your dose from that as well, but see where that puts you on the scale.

If you end up staying on such small volume injections, look into pinning subq with an insulin syringe. Some people find it more comfortable. But only if your pinning less than 0.6ml at a time :)

I can understand that, but really... if your injecting, your injecting. I don't see the need to warm people up to it. Your doing it for life so you may as well get used to it! I also think a lot of doctors aren't doing it for that reason either... some may be, but I'd doubt most. There is too much ignorance in the medical field towards T.

If this isn't pure paranoia stress than it is as said and that's the positive hormonal imbalance. Test is rising and falling and so is the Estradiol by the way the doctor has his schedule set up.
So look at the sides of both paying attention to my highlighted bold.

Prince I have not seen my doctor yet but was thinking about splitting my dose up to half of 1-ml a week instead of 1-ml every two weeks? I'm thinking that would really help with the heart racing & my anxiety but really would like to know what you think?

My doctor told me the same thing. So I just told him I will inject twice a week from the get go to get the most stable levels since I'm a grown man not a child afraid of shots.

I'm not prince but one thing I can say with certainty is that when it comes to test c/e more frequent shots of smaller dosages are way better than bigger and less frequent. E2W is insane. This board is filled with threads for years of guys on that protocol and not happy with it. E7D is much better. Lots of guys do even more frequent than that. You have to find what works best for you. Stay on the new protocol for 4-6 weeks then get blood work and evaluate from there how you feel and what the blood tests say. Good luck!

No, but you could be my princess

Excuse the terrible joke lol. Yeah, TRTnooby nailed it. Definitely better to pin once per week than once every two weeks. It will definitely help, just see how much. You may need twice weekly shots which are optimal frequency for stable levels.

Thanks TRT. I'm going to split my dose up like I talked about and see how it goes from there. I really don't want to have to take shots twice a week but if it comes down to it I will. Its been almost three weeks now and I'm starting to slightly feel the T moving in. Now its time for me to get the anxiety moving out. lol CHEER'S n thanks for the help.

I was one of those people who said they would rather die than start taking injections of anything. But that was before I had a condition that required shots. Now I look back at my old self and laugh at how silly I was being about it. Had a doctor told me I would need to inject weekly I would have wanted ANY other solution instead. Now I inject E3.5D - and then some on other days for my HCG and MT2...
