Any runners or triathletes out there? How long before you could run again?

I'm on week 7 of a Test-E 500mg/wk cycle and it's been going great. I run Adex at 0.5mg EOD and my body has been shedding fat and putting on lbm.

I'm only really disappointed in that I can no longer run for more than 5-10 minutes without intense cramping. I've replaced my 30 minutes of cardio with cycling and while that feels great but I miss my outdoor runs.

At one point long walks would have my calves cramping. To help I've been taking 5mg of Taurine, 3g Potassium and 250mg Magnesium daily which has cured any long walks but I still won't let me run very far.

I was wondering if anyone else has been frustrated by this and how long it took them after their cycle to get back into running again.

I'm planning on cycling for 12 weeks. So any advice on how long to wait once I've started PCT would also be appreciated. Thanks.

I have the exact same problem, terrible cramping to the point I can't walk more than a few blocks. The worst was I ran tren, literally more than a couple blocks and I would have to find a random place to rest due to the pumps in my frontal shin area.

On test alone I find roughly 3 weeks post last injection is when the sides dissipate and I am able to increase cardiovascular activity without the cramping.

I have also tried taurine, magnesium, potassium at varying dosages to alleviate this to no avail. It's just one of those things that effects some of more than others.

Do you recommend recommencing cardio so early? I've read warnings that during your 4-5 weeks of PCT you should cease cardio to prevent losing your gains.

It's hard to give a recommendation without knowing your goals. For example, someone who was cutting vs. bulking would have different protocol and training regimes.

Personally, while bulking (whether on or off cycle) I keep the cardio activities at next to nothing while eating roughly 300-500 calories over maintenance (roughly 3500/day). Compared to cutting I go into a deficit eating roughly 300-500 calories under maintenance (roughly 2500/day) with low heart rate cardio added to weight training 4X a week. Either way, when you come off, monitor your weight loss as you are going to lose a portion of your gains no matter how hard you fight it; just try and minimize it. I just bump my calories up by about 200 or so while on PCT to account for this.
