I know video gaming gets looked down upon by the lifting world....but im part nerd at heart. I grew up playing super mario bros/contra/zelda/ and played everything from nintendo to playstation 3. I also played world of warcraft for a long time ( and was good at it lol).

Anyone else on here game much? or am i the only one?

I grew up on gaming the same, mario, zelda, contra, techmo ball, lol. I still game on the ps 3 when I have time to. I see the kids that grew up in the mid 90's to the early 2000's never appreciated some of the gaming engine software that these gaming companies use to make some of these games today is unreal. These same kids complain about the graphics and the gameplay on these games that are out today. I'm like "really?" How much realer do you want this shit to get?

You ever play Modern Warefare 3? They have a scene where there in helicopter flying over the ocean to get to the beach. That scene itself look realistic as fuck, the waves of the ocean, the people.

Just growing up in the era of Nes and watch how it evolved today is incredible.

re

or better yet....the people who grew up on atari 2600 lol. Graphics have just gotten amazing agreed!

that's the kind of thread than makes me feel to be a old guy.

haha i'm 39 near 40 now; with long long long life story, could you figure what is than to be grand-father at 37 years... that a lil part of my looooooong life.

That's how I became boys with darkside. We played the best game ever made. Socom for ps2. There will never be a game like that. Best shooter period.

Lifting to me is like levelling up in real life.

Probably the most formative experience I had with videogames was playing Metal Gear Solid at age 12. Something about that game just sunk its hooks into me and I've been a fan of the franchise ever since. I even own action figures of Snake and the other characters.

The first game had the best soundtrack, though. Tappi Iwase did a great job.

Socom II for the PS2.
Battlefield 1943 for the PC
Battlefield 2 for the PC
SNES, NES, Sega, Gameboys.
Counter Strike

Hell I have an Nintendo 64 emulater on my Cell phone. So I play Zelda Ocarina of time, on my android cell phone. It rocks, be jealous.

Grew up playing? I still play. I am a hybrid Gamer/Athelete/Political idealist/Mad Hatter.

My brother is a marine so our only hangout time is in games.

So currently we play World of Tanks(Free WW II Tank sim online game).
Star Wars the Old Republic.
Battlefield 3.
And I have several games I play single player.

I have modern warefare 3 for the xbox, but its sucks so bad, and the graphics are so utterly terrible I cant stand it. I only get on to play it with my girlfriend(Damn Right she is a gamer/soccer player hybrid who is starting her first P90X rounds :D)

PC gaming is where you will find games that will blow your mind.

You might think its nerdy, but you would be surprised how many Marines, beautiful girls, normal guys, all just enjoy getting out of this Fked up world we live in.

Look at Minecraft. 15 bucks, simple game, severely addicting and if your a creative person you can do things so intense, you can build a CPU inside the game that works.

I invite anyone who likes Tanks and World War II to check out World of Tanks. Its free to play(you can pay if you want little extras).

That is the one sad thing about the future of video games. The free to play/pay for extra benefits model of business. AS well as the DLC crap. Most DLC exists for games before they even launch, so getting charged for it is a rip off (Like new maps for MW3 to you casual gamers).

Its nice to workout in the gym, and then blow any leftover steam destroying people in an online game.

I tried giving up video games, but its me. So I cant lol.

That and I met some great people online in some games, just like I have online in here.

Dang. Way to bring back some good memories. Growing up...wtf...you don't care about lifting weights...you want to play video games and eat doritos and drink soda and care fuck all about your body and your future.

Super Mario

Goldeneye 007

Ninja Turtles

Man I could go on and on. Those were the best times. Where you would just stay locked in your room for hours just playing video games.

I haven't played in months. Games aren't as good as they used to be...SINGLE PLAYER anyway...I used to love single player and saving Mario's slut of a blonde girlfriend who I know for a fact was fucking Bowser on the side.

My roommate actually gave me 'Skyrim' to play...haven't played it yet but I probably will check it out today since I'm off work tomorrow.

Cheers to the old games that wasted our days away.

600 hours later, Georgia emerged blinking and bleary-eyed into the half-light of dusk, an emaciated, dehydrated husk of his former self...
