Anyone have a good experience or hear of good things from restarts?

I am really hoping a good restart protocol would fix me as I am young. Clomid did increase my test levels so I know my balls work. Has anyone had a successful restart that has brought them to the upper third of the range? Or at least have heard of success stories?

You may not want to hear this, but it depends on when you tested yourself with the Clomid. Again it gives a lot of guys false information as they get off Clomid and blood test a week later. Testing your total T at that point is not an indication that your balls are working. It's all relative to a time frame in mind. So when did you stop clomid and when did you blood test? The body is constantly striving for homeostasis so it's important to know when you did it.

To answer your question there are plenty of guys that recover and then there are guys like me on TRT that never did recover. Flip a coin.

I haven't heard of many folks that recover into the upper third. But I'm sure many guys would be thrilled with a 600 level and avoiding TRT for life. That seems to be the more likely result if you have any success. Sadly many of us aren't even that lucky.

In part, it depends on where your natural test levels were at before becoming impaired. If you were never in the upper third of the normal range, it is possible to get there through a Restart, but not as likely.

I wouldn't focus so much on having to get your natty test into the upper third. The average guy is somewhere around 600ng/dl. Just focus on feeling better.

He's been off close to a year and he's 19. He hasn't seen any improvement in his well being after discontinuing the pro hormone he was using. Very likely he will take much longer to recover if at all. His HPTA is sensitive as he is very young and still growing.

Apollon I keep telling you I'm not 19. I'm 21 in two months. Yes I tested 6 weeks after stopping clomid. Test levels prior to clomid were 348. Post clomid were 495. I still don't feel better though so I figure my test levels before my incident were much higher than they are now. I'm just saying it does seem that my testicles do respond so maybe a good strong restart protocol might bring me back

Any idea what your total test was BEFORE you took the prohormones? 495 might just be your natural baseline, and you're chasing a number that may not exist for you naturally. I know that's probably not what you want to hear, but it's very possibly the case here.

if it were my normal level then why was I always energetic, horny as hell, No ED at all, positive feeling all the time, Acne. And now I have lower libido..some days its half assed. ED problems, sluggish all the time. Not gain muscle mass like I used to. No Acne. If 495 is my baseline then its very strange why I feel this way

I ran prohormones literally 8 times prior to being 21.. let's just say I shot myself in the foot and am a slave to the needle at 22.. I feel your pain, these guys won't steer you wrong

My natural baseline at 25 y.o. was 20.6 nmol/l was 594 ng/dl for TT.
A year off 1 cycle.
HCG mono protocol put it to 925 ng/dl TT
I'm pretty sure I never had those levels earlier in my late teens to early twenties.
Only thing I know about my early twenties T levels is that my Free T was a constant 72 pmol/l.
After 1 cycle I could only recover to 57 pmol/l Free T

There are a lot of other reasons why you may feel this way other than just testosterone. Vitamin D/Adrenals/prolactin/estradiol/cortisol/diabetes/thyroid/etc can all cause you to feel a lack of energy and mess with your metabolism. Could you have been higher? Sure. But I would at least get EVERYTHING looked at first as it's going to be one hell of an uphill battle to get that total testosterone any higher - even with megadoses of HCG/Clomid.

My .02c :)

JT,
Let me give you some advice. You only did 2 blood tests so far. One for 383 ng/dl and one after clomid therapy which came back at 495 ng/dl. Fact of the matter is you haven't done enough labs or the proper kind of Tests to get a true baseline of your Bio Avail. Hormones and pituitary hormones. The specialist you will see in the upcoming months will have you commit to all these tests before he even prescribes anything (if at all in your situation).
You need to run some labs: Total T, Bio Avail. T, FSH, LH, Prolactin, Estradiol, Thyroid hormones.
Your doc is not doing enough for you...imo
She even hinted on your last visit with her to drop this for a while. What does that tell you????
Did you see my post on yesterdays visit with a new GP.....
said to live with 9 nmol/l TT and go on wellbutrin cause he has lots of guys at 10 nmol/l that "feel ok".
I think you are at 13-17 nmol/l if I calculate right.....
just preparing you man....
you need to get some baseline tests done and fast. What about a sleep study ?
You never mentioned anything about that and everyone must have chimed in on that as a possibility of you feeling tired.
cover your bases bro. Cause those endos are in no rush to get you on anything.....
you need to start taking charges of your life and health.

I have done 4. 3 came back. 328, 330, 348. The last was 495. Yes I will get all of that looked at halfwit! I just wanted to hear if guys have done any successful restarts in case it is my test levels that are fucking with me.

Time for another one...
this time tell your doc to test for bio avail. T, you'll have to pony up $55 bucks for this test but you only have one body in life.
I don't know any other investment that is better.
LH, FSH, Prolactin are a must as well. I'm sure she's checked liver enzymes.
You forgot to thank Apollon too
