anything to help with possible ligament/muscle issues in the forearm/bicep area?

Hey guys, listen I have had problems with my ligament or muscle where your bicep and forearm meet(joint). Every time I try to pull up with my hand out( or closed fist) like "I'm shaking hands" it burns bad(brachioradials). I was on naproxin but that hasn't done crap! Its been about a month with this issue. Anything that I can take that will help repair whatever damage is there. I had an x-ray taken and there is no bone damage. Thanks a lot, sucks I haven't been able to work out much in the last month, :-(

I am not sure if i know exactly where you are talking about, but i think it may be the same thing i had, get a one of those things that wraps around your upper forearm, used for tennis elbow. Worked wonders for me. Healed it up in about 2 months.

cool.........

Yea, I mean it feels like a burning sensation in my upper forearm elbow area(right in the area where your arm bends for curls) and it hasn't gone away for a month. Did that work for you? Nothing I can take for that? thanks for the help.............

Thats it bro, it is tendinitis. Get the tennis elbow band. Get a good one. And wear it every day until it goes away.

i have it in both elbows and i wrap when i bench and when i do bis and especially during skull crushers...on those it burns like a son of a bitch,,,,

Ok i see this in my patients. It sounds like tennis elbow or golfers elbow. Best thing to do is this. I am going to walk you through how to determine if it is tennis elbow: Put your arm out straight with hand open facing the floor(palm down) , and now bend the wrist upwards, now hold yor hand there with your strength and ith your other hand now try to push your hand so the wrist bends downward. If pain occurs with this then it is most likely tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis), if there is no pain with it then it may be golfers elbow: arm straight out, hand facing down (palm down), now bend your wrist down and with strength keep it there while your other hand trys to bend your wrist upward. If no pain, then it may be cubital fossa syndrome which involves your ulnar nerve. Good Luck!!

hurts when i do this

It hurts when I have my arm out sraight with my thumb up and when I use my other arm and try to stop it from comming to my chest. Weird , would the bands work doc...............?

You need 7 things, they are,

Go see your doc. You need 1. physio therapy, 2. ice, 3. rest (dont do anything that hurts it) 4. vitamin C, 5. natural anti inflamitory, and 6. glucosamine sulfate. Oh yeah, and 7. time, if its bad it might take around 4 months.

Tendonitis bro. Lay off training for two weeks or it will keep getting worse.

Yep, thats what it is. Use my recipe posted above. It will take longer than a few weeks though, unless your superman. :D And that sucks.

appreciate the help guys....

Sucks but I guess I gotta lay off the weights for a while.......damn it!, lol.................................thanks...........RB

Okay go get yopurself some wrist straps. And use a light grip, let the wrist staps hold it,use just enough pressure to hold the strap in place. This will allw you to do weights like back musce. Use ligt grp on allweights, and just ue mchine weigts for now because they are not going to fall like freeweights!! Soy ou can still lift, but cautiously. Good luck!!
