Are lower ab exercises really necessary?

Actually lower ab excercises are probably more necessary frfom a health point of view than any other portion of your abs. Below your belly button is the weakest part of your abdomen, the transverse abdominid, exteranal oblique and internal oblique apaneurosis are all superior to the rectus sheath at this point which may lead to greater succeptability to direct and indirect hernias. I know that most people have a hard time getting those lower abs to show, I am one of those people for sure. Diet is key but working them is important as well
