arimidex and high blood pressure?

I started taking Arimidex a couple of weeks ago. I tried .25 every other day, but was still noticing symptoms of high estrogen. So I've been taking .25 every day. I can really tell a difference now. I feel a lot of energy, and my libido is great.

But...

My blood pressure is suddenly up.

I haven't changed my .3cc test-e injections e3 days.

My wife is a nurse, and has been keeping a pretty close eye on my bp, since it has been up around 130/80 for the past few years.

But today, I've been hitting 140/100 all day long.

BP is still 140/90

I've read where people starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) might get higher blood pressure, but it usually goes back down.

Been on the same testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dose for 6 weeks now.

Anyone have an idea about how long does it usually takes for BP to normalize?

Is Adex known to raise BP?

I didn't take any adex yesterday, but plan to take .25 today, after my test injection.

Still trying to decide if I should lower my test-e dose, and if so, by how much.

well oddly when on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) you should not need Aromatase inhibitor (AI) since the body establishes homeostasis , and youre only doing .3cc = 60mg 3 tims a weel for a total of 120 mg a week.
I would have immediately though water retention but now you're on .25 daily which is good, in fact you might need that , are you heavy set? high BMI ?
OK so you're only on 6 weeks, you wont stabilize RBC or Hemoglobin / hematocrit till week 12 but the blood pressure is worrisome, do you have another blood test at 3 months mark ?

Where did you ever hear that?

Sorry but not true at all. An Aromatase inhibitor (AI) is part of many testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) protocols.

......and to the OP, Arimidex should lower you BP if anything.

A known side effect of arimidex for some is increased BP and for almost all increased bad cholesterol.

I got serious about working out when I was in the military, continued off and on throughout my career in the building trades (iron worker) got hurt on the job pretty bad, had to retire early and now I have a lot of trouble exercising due to chronic pain from the injuries.

I started on adex because I had an estridol level of 91 and testosterone was slightly higher than normal range at 4 weeks in.

I guess my main question...

Is it normal to have bp go up after being on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for 6 weeks?

Should I stay on my current dose, monitor my bp and hope it goes back down, or maybe lower my dose a little bit.

its the basis of how the hormones regulate one another, E and T balance and often reference one another to produce more or less. (feedback/negative feedback). like when we use SERMS to bind E and make the body produce more T since its what gets Aromatised, problem in testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is we usually get more T than necessary cause it feels better.
now i acknowledge each person is unique in how medicines work in there system, but in my 8 years on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) no doctor has ever offered a preventative Aromatase inhibitor (AI), only a notice that if my nipples itch call them. but i see old school docs and not anti aging or preventative endos. so im limmited to my own studies on these boards

if your med is 200 mg per ml i feel your dose is nice and low already, you will see some elevation and you're early in your treatment. discuss with your doc as more blood work really is the answer. we're just providing guesses or historic experiences . id hate to play with your health
I think Jimithings comment is very valid that you might have a side effect from the Aromatase inhibitor (AI), perhaps Aromasin would be better for you, discuss with your doc or RUI sells it

I'm on test-e 250 per ml
250 x .3 is 75mg
75mg per shot every 3 days = 750 per month

750/4 is

187mg per week

If I cut it down to .25 every 3 days, it's

156mg per week.

ahh ok its 250, i should have notice you're not in the USA, we distribute 200 mg / ml here . lowering it may be an aid in reducing your side effect, but id also look into seeing if the Aromatase inhibitor (AI) med is partially to blame

I just checked online, and I can get aromasin 25mg sugar coated tablets.

Do you know what a good starting dose would be for those?

I decided to keep my test-e dosage the same and stay off adex for a while to see what happens.

On my third day with no adex, my BP was back down to 130/80.

Problem is, I was so tired, I slept all day, and woke up with sore nipples.

So I took .5 adex and BP immediately went back up to 140/100.

I guess I'll have to try aromasin as soon as I can find some.

its easy to find, in fact the RUI sponsor link on the right sells it. -------------->

I don't know where RUI ships from, but I'd be a little bit uncomfortable trying to ship anything here to the Philippines.

Besides, I checked RUI's LIQUID STANE 30ML 25MG/ML and they are out of stock-

I found a pharmacy that has it, and bought a couple of aromasin pills. But they are really expensive...

I guess I'm gonna try lowering my test dose, and see how I feel. I'd like to get by without an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) if at all possible.

My BP is still 140/90-100 today.

But damn, I've had the best day I've had in years. I stuck to my diet, did some stair climbing and still overflowing with energy.

The best part is, me and wife are getting along like newly wed rabbits.

If I could maintain this high, I'd just ignore the borderline BP...

Shortly after typing the above post last night, my BP hit 150/100. I was hoping to stay on arimidex for another week or so, until I ran out. But took 12mg of aromasin instead.

Today my BP is 130/80.

So, there's no doubt in my mind, the adex was jacking up my bp.

Was in the military as well and about the same comp as you about 15-20lbs lighter. let me tell you diet and exercise will probably help you more than TRT ever will. at least me it has.

TRT alone is a cause for high BP, it is a side effect as far as dex I dont know.
