arnold expo 2011

went to the expo on Saturday,had a great time,got a few samples,didn't wait in the long lines to met cutler and coleman so got no freebies,met 2 of my all time favorites from my childhood,aka the 80's big Lou the real hulk,my oldest daughter who is 21 said who's that i thought the hulk was cgi,what there was a tv show when..lol nice guy but my highlight of the day i met my all time favorite after steve reeves of course,frank zane,he was the one i wanted to be as a kid,at 65 he still has it shame no one other then us old dude knew who he was it's a damn shame,he was what the sport was about at one time,perfect symmetry and proportions and high definition .today its all about sheer mass,hey look at me i'm on stage weighing in at 310,i'll take looking like frank,arnold or the great steeve reeves any day...

Frank zane was in crazy shape in his day. . . I saw him, for like a split second in "Pumping Iron". . but besides that one glimpse of him on stage, he got no love in the movie. I agree on his symetry.
Never been to the Arnold... need to make one soon.

Ya just got bk from there, great deals on sunday. Got all my essential supps for the nxt 4 months for around 80bux cant beat that. Also had a good convo with Dave Riley about how hard it is to stick to it through college he had some real encouraging words of wisdom, def a good dude to chat with.

I would take frank zane body, arnold, dave draper, bill pearl or young lou or a few others any day over what I see today.

the super ass dark tans are lame imo and the guts and everything else that has been talked about.

there are some great pics of lou from the late 70's with a beard, not tan with hairy arms that look great, just a big ol burly white guy

They have to have a dark tan to be under the strong stage lights. Otherwise they look Casper white.

I saw on the web site that competitors would be disqualified if the tan could be wiped of. Good move, I think it is some of the spray on stuff that makes them look strange. maybe i'm just jealous because I'm a pale fucker
