Bad Blood test results

Cheater and proud.
Everything was good except for my hemoglobin count, Dr. said that 12-14 is average and mine was 21. He said its the highest he has seen in a 34 year old. He explained it like this, he said a hemofeliak (sp?) is considered to be a bleeder, their blood does not clot, their counts are in the 6-8 range, he said I have the exact opposite problem, my blood is very thick borderline clotted! Said its the thickest blood he had personally ever seen. I am running 500 mg test e. and t3 thats it, what could be doing this? I am around 9% bf 6"1 and 205#s do cardio 4 time a week for 45 to 60 minutes each usually trail running. WTF could be causing this?

The testosterone is the root cause of your problem.

Donating a pint of blood will bring the RBC down a bit, but I don't know the implications of somebody else receiving your blood that has so much testosterone in it. Maybe it isn't a big deal because it is only a pint of blood.

Do your research but I take 1/2 asperin a day to keep my blood from becoming too sticky

Yeah I'd suggest you take 1 baby asprin per day. I think it's 83 or 81 mgs. My blood is def. thinner when taking, and I always take when i'm on a cycle. I've also read good things about asprin helping the prostate as well.

Good luck

Asprin

No $hit, I new it was a blood thinner but never thought about it when he told me about the problem. I am going to do both, asprin and donate to some unsuspecting pre pubescent kid who will end up out benching me in 2 months.

This is Johny J posting under Bleach's handle.

wait one second. Red blood cells carryu oxygen. The play a roll in clotting, but they themselves are not what causes clots.

A substance called fibinogen is converted to fibrin in the blood. This blood protein sticks together with blood platelets and red blood cells, causeing clots.
the fibrin is like the glue that holds things together.

Your blood isnt going to clot because it was to thick. your doctor was just using an analogy for you, and you took it the wrong way (from what i gathered).
Your body is producing to many red blood cells. most likely due to the combo of roids and cardiovascular training.
your blood being to thick is dangerous because it will clot much faster, and sometimes where inappropriate.

I dont know exactly how aspirin "thins" the blood, but i dont think it is by effecting RBC count. If it affects the fibrinogen or whatever, it isnt going to help your thick blood problem.

Ask the Doc what he thinks you should do, whether it is giving blood or whatever. Perhaps someone with some Med knowledge on here can help.

Mods?

Thanks for an alternate oppinion, I have an appointment with a Hemotologist on Wed. I hope for some good input. He is 28 years old so hopefully I can tell him some facts off the records.

Aspirin, in fact, will not lower the RBC or hemoglobin. But it is an anticoagulant.

A small dosage of aspirin (<100mg) every day appears to have numerous health benefits, so it is a good thing to do regardless. But before, too much aspirin and you may put yourself in a less healthy situation than not taking any aspirin at all. This is especially important to mention since your standard aspirin is often around 325mg, which isn't a dosage that you want to be taking every day.

This is the 3rd time in a few days that I have read to keep asprin doses of asprin under 100mg a day. Why is this?

Because the majority of studies on aspirin use show a benefit when using a low dose of aspirin. But many studies also show that these benefits disappear when using a higher dosage. In fact, a higher dosage is often found to be worse than no aspirin at all.

2 reasons off te top of my head...

1. too much aspirin will cause you to start breking capillaries and shit. you will get random nose bleeds.

2. this one is big for wieght lifters, due to our high protein intake. Aspirin competes for the same elimination pathway as uric acid. Uric acid is a byproduct of amino acid break down and protein breakdown. Uric acid , if not eliminated, will deposit in the joints causing Gout.

Man, the doctor told you the average is 12-14, and those are the people that dont due steroids. Yours is high because you're using test, and test helps your body make more RBCells, that's why you get good pumps when you workout, is because you have more red blood cells. I've never personally tested my RBC, but I'm sure anyone who's doing EQ, Tren, or Dbol etc will have a higher RBC than the average person.
