Bad body acne before steroids

What will happen if I take steroids and I already have bad acne on my chest and all around my shoulders? I've seen some messed up pics of people with beyond terrible acne while taking steroids. Anyone use accutane while on steroids?

Very simply - if you have bad acne, it will get worse.
Accutane is an excellent treatment BUT if your acne is already bad, scarring because a serious issue that is very difficult to treat.

Personal opinion: avoid AAS if you already have severe acne.

I'm definitely going to take AAS. What would you do if you were in my situation? If I see a dermatologist do I tell them I'm on AAS? I was going to take accutane a while ago but I heard it causes bad joint pain and that's the last thing I need while bb

Your best plan of attack is get the acne cleared properly first. I have experience with both pubertal and AAS induced acne, and also with accutane.

First of all if your considering accutane I'm gonna go ahead and assume you have trued everything else already (supplements, creams, hygeine, exfoliation etc.) if you havent tried it yet i recommend high dose zinc, worked wonders for me.

If you use AAS while you still have bad acne its gonna get real bad like ripped said. You will more than likely end up with bad permanent scarring, which imo defeats the purpose of having a good physique in the first place. Not to mention it can get extremely painful.

Accutane works by shrinking the sebacious glands - the glands responsible for secreting sweat, bacteries etc. through the skin. Once they've shrunk enough your acne will probably completely clear.
I used accutane for my pubertal acne, from memory it took maybe 3-4months to be completely clear with perfect skin. Never had an issue for years, until i did my first cycle of test.

A big hormonal rush like you will experience using gear can and probably will (as in my case) 'reopen' or enlarge the sebacious glands again, which will result in your acne coming back. This may not happen with you and ill mention mine did not come back nearly as bad. Rather than do another cycle of accutane i opted for zinc supplementation this time round and over about 4-6 weeks have returned to normal.

So in summary; get your accutane treatment done and dusted, clear your skin, and begin zinc supplementation (100mg daily) starting from before 2 weeks before your first injection and run zinc until end of PCT (or even longer.)

That should keep you good to go ;)

Sorry missed a few points:

- dont tell your derm your considering using AAS. And dont use them together, it can potentially do some serious damage to your liver as accutane is liver toxic (although usually well tolerated on its own) and so are some steroids. Used together can be harmful.

- side effects from any drug differ from person to person. Personally the only side effect i got from accutane was dried/chapped lips. Easily manageable with chapstick. But then you get some people who get immediately nauseus, some peoples livers go to shit, and others are completely fine. You wont know til you run it but dont just assume your joints are gonna suffer. That particular side effect is quite rare from what I've heard.

Thanks bro! Ton of info. I might as well get the accutane over with before I start AAS. You would think there would be a simple non side effect pill for acne that works like accutane or better.

I had this issue. Had moderate to severe acne as an early teen. As an adult I have extremely oily skin and sweat a lot and got occasional acne on my back, nothing ectreme because I shower twice a day at least. But I do have the genetics to have bad bacne. Between my last two cycles I broke out bad and started having my wife scrub it for me and even used betadine(helped a little) still had mild to moderate bacne when I ran next cycle, about 4 weeks in I started clearing up, maybe to the hormonal change, then about week 10 I started breaking out again and this time it got bad!! Big bulbous white heads, they hurt something fierce. Every night my wife would scrub my back with acne soaps and squeeze a bunch of them then rub alcohol on it before bed. It stayed that way the rest of that cycle and for several weeks to follow. Couple months later it started getting better. But now I get them easy, not as bad, and I have some minor scarring. Most of the scarring will go away when I ran this spring but some is too deep. If you can clear it up prior then do it! Trust me.

Sidebar running RUI's Melanotan II kinda helped clear me up. Gave me nausea and minor fatigue post pin though.

Yeah tanning does help to hide it, but I'm pretty sure that's all it does. It won't actually help get rid of it or anything, more just cover it up a bit. It's certainly works though.

Probably right about just covering it up. It may help if you burn and peel though. Just a thought.

AAS would probably make it worse, but individuals react to these compounds differently so you never know.

Accutane might work, but just note that there side effects to it such as joint pain which can effect your exercise. Make sure your taking all the precautions before hand. 1) Drink only and lots of water...2) change sheets often and make sure your bed is clean.... 3)facial cleanser...4)shower throughout the day especially after exercise....5)exfoliate your pores every other day or so...6) dont touch your face. a bad habit if its one your into.

I'd like to look at accutane as a last resort so if your not doing these other things they could help. good luck bro.

Thanks again everyone.
Speaking of melanotan, I made a thread on bb.com and everyone freaked out about it being illegal and how bad it is. Is it illegal?

Depends on which country your from - its legal in most of America, only available on prescription in the UK and illegal in some other countries.
Pretty easy to find online though.

People who don't know enough about it (pretty much everyone on bb.com) claim that its bad because its addictive but the studies show that it isn't (below 2mg doses).
The assumption that you become addicted to it comes from not fixing sleep patterns - so once you go off the melatonin, if you haven't fixed your sleep patterns then you'll return to the problems you were having before you started supplementing.

Do u know if it's legal in fl? If it is I got to look into where to buy it. I found a lot of sites but I want to be careful buying on the internet since it's going into my body.

Drugs laws are implemented at the federal level not state. That being said, Isotretinoin is not a controlled substance, but classified as a "new legend drug" under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act . So if you purchase some only take it at home, and don't let it leave your home.

Google its legality. I read, on several sites, last year that it isn't legal but there are no laws against it, in US. Like it is in a gray area or something. Like G said keep it to yourself and don't tote it around and you shouldn't have to worry about it. This is my opinion only, NO facts in this thread so don't take it as "legal" advice !!
