Banking Fees Surprise

Hey guys..I just used my debit card at an ATM to check my balance and a month later realized I got charged $2. to simply look at my balance...no withdrawal or anything. wow. Just thought I'd warn the rest of you from this shocking fee. I guess the govt has been cracking down on some of the old ways the banks would charge fees, so the banks have become creative with their fees...I will never check my balance at an atm again.....

was it your banks ATM or another bank. Also, some ATM are privately owned not sure how they are regulated.
