Belly fat... Does this mean carb sensitive?

Does holding belly fat/love handles suggest one would be carb sensitive? Or is this just a myth? Should one always stay low carb if they carry belly fat??

Thanks :)

Mythological. Carbs only increase water retention, so any gains/loss of weight due to carbs is solely water if your total calorie intake is the same.

Thanks. The reason I ask is because I've always struggled with mid section/love handles, I hate great legs, great guns IMO but when cut out carbs I see it getting smaller- but one cannot live without carbs

The fact is that there is no one carb level that's best for everyone. Some people seem to be able to handle carbs better than others.

I eat low carbs, I've tried different carb amounts & I've learned what the right amount for me is, the key is to find what the right amount for u is.

If u feel that when you eat higher carbs it goes straight to your midsection, then I would definitely cut back...make sure u stick to the good carbs.

Belly fat and love handles means that's where your body places your body fat. Personally I think it's a case of eating good carbs, healthy fats and proteins, all balanced out to your activity levels.
