I have a hard time getting a pump for bench press alone. But when i dumbell press, flat or inclined, i get these massive pumps. Now my question is, if i were to leave the bench press aside, would i loose on major chest muscle gains. Im asking cuz im on cycle right now and want to maximize my training and do whats best with what my body tells me.

Thanks

are you asking will you continue to gain if you only dumbbell press and quit benching using a barbell? yes you will continue to gain size and strength should slowly continue, but if you want to move heavy weight on the bar, then you gotta push heavy weight on the bar. if your goals are strictly bodybuilding purposes, forego the barbell flat bench all you want bro. i believe you are seeing better size gains and getting better pumps with db press because it causes more of a stretch and a greater ROM. squeezing exercises are better for size gain on chest than pushing IMO. i love flies for hypertrophy reasons, however i don't think they do shit for strength carryover into my bench. that's why one week i'll do DB, next week BB and always finish off with some flies. just do what feels right man.

Do the exercises that give you a pump first and then do bench press and see how that works for you.
i wouldn't want to do that, unless you're just shooting for size. hell either way, i'd want to knock out my heavy lifts first and finish with a pump exercise, because the pump isn't about how much you lift anyways
