I had to take my chest plate in and I did not want to send it out to get it done so here is what I did.
I wetnto a local tailor and had hium do some grid stiching and take in the chest plate. He did exactly what I wanted , very precicsly and it cost 10$
I then took the shirt to a local shoe repair store. I had him go over all the seams and grid sticking with the same nylon thread he uses to repair leather jackets etc. Another 10$ (I gave him 20 dollars though so I could get the shirt back at the end of the day. )
At the end of the day I had a very high quality modified shirt for 30$. A few words of advice. When the tailor is going to work on it make sure you are there for the whole thing. Most of them don't speak english and don't understandf the premise of a bench shirt. Also TTheis guys wnted to stem iron my shirt which would have ruined it. Carefull about these things.
All in all though you most likely can have the mods you want done locally for cheap. I'll keep everyone posted about the performance of my new shirt.
