Best Test for TRT?=============

I'm interested to hear you say that Austinite...

I've literally just this week been moved from Sustanon 250mg/1ml - to Nebido (Testosterone Undecanoate) 1000mg/4ml...

It seems this is becoming common practice for TRT patients here in the UK...

I am really struggling to find much info on it, other than it is a slow 4 minute injection, requires a further loading dose at 6 weeks, and then judging by blood tests you work out whether you are placed on an 8, 10 or 12 week injection frequency...

I have my first Nebido jab in 2 days time.

I do wonder whether such a large injection will raise estradiol issues and I have emailed my doc with such questions...

If anyone has any thoughts or experience with Test Undecanoate (Pharmaceutical) then I would love to hear it..

Be healthy,
BigBen :)

I'm unsure 3J.... All I know is that injection frequency seems to range between 8 and 12 weeks depending on steady state Test levels...

Half life is 90 days.

Ben, with such a slow release, E2 should be fairly easy to manage. I'm on lunch break so I can't get into too much detail right now. But Nebido is the greatest thing to happen to TRT. Therapy in general is very difficult and doctors are strict in the UK, but having Nebido as an option is outstanding. Sure beats Sustanon. Sustanon is from the early 80's, and was in fact developed specifically for TRT in the UK, but it's not ideal.

What was your injection, Ben? 1000 mg?

Yeah, basically my injection is 1000mg/4ml - slow injection over say 4 minutes... (which will no doubt be a tough self-pin?)

Then on week 6 I have what they call a booster injection...

Then after that I have blood tests at certain marker points to establish what my steady state levels would be...

Some patients require their injections every 8 weeks, others only every 12 weeks...

I'm no expert, by an stretch, but I'm already dreading that 1 or 2 week trough at the end of each cycle... at least with the Sust the trough was only for a few days - mind you, if the half life is 90 days.... will be there actually be a trough?

Or maybe there's more to this than I can wrap my head around?

Looking forward to your further info Austinite, but I'm quietly content with what you have said thus far! :)

Injections won't be difficult at all if they're in the glute or quads. Worst case you would inject twice that day and split your dose into two syringes. Either way, the injections are far and few between to worry about that.

The booster shot should be the same as the original injection. 1 gram in 4 ml. and it's a very important injection. You don't need to worry about any dips in serum. Your blood work will show stable serum and you can maintain it from there. Eventually, you can go as far as an injection every 6 months. Nebido is wonderful.

Your doctor is following pretty standard protocol, which has been used for a few years now successfully. A very good friend of mine injects the 4 ml twice per year and doing very well.

But Nebido is the greatest thing to happen to TRT.

Is that purely because of the less injection frequency or does it have some other benefit over Test E 2x a week? Basically, if I had a chance to get Nebido injections is that something I should push for over 2x Test E injections a week?

My word... just 2 injections per year, that is incredible!

And his levels are satisfactory and proven by blood tests even with just the 2 injections per annum?

I'm liking the sound of this Austinite :)

I'm curious... not that I'm planning on cycling just yet - but for the future... how would you fit say a 12-16 week Test E cycle into TRT on Nebido?

If Nebido IS actually a good TRT drug, then I guarantee the UK authorities have fluked this rather than be ahead with their study and policy... they are so backwards here it is unreal!

4 minutes trying to inject glutes... I'd cramp up and fall over! Lol
But the time between injections sure sounds like a trt dream come true!

To avoid any issues, 1 minute per ml is wise. This is one of the main reasons people get the "cough". They inject too fast with no pauses.
