Best way to split workout?

in short, if i'm doing these splits, what days is best for optimum recovery/growth? specifically, what muscle groups should not be targeted the day after what muscle groups?

chest/shoulders
tri/bi
back/traps
legs

fill in the blanks (legs 2x/week for sure on wed/sat):
mon - ?
tues - ?
wed - legs
thur - rest, cardio
fri - ?
sat - legs
sun - cardio

seems like i read somewhere one time not to do shoulders after tri/bi day or something, but now i can't find it......

Assuming that you mean that you will be grouping those muscle groups together (and sticking with the plan that you have laid out without commenting on it further) I would run the split like this:

Monday: Back/Traps
Tuesday: Chest/Shoulders
Wednesday: Legs
Thursday: Off
Friday: Triceps/Biceps
Saturday: Legs
Sunday: Off

This way you will be getting at least one day off between your back workout and your leg workouts. As well, your arm day won't negatively impact your chest or back workouts.
 
sweet.....cuz shoulders is what i did yesterday and was gonna do that plan to see how it feels.....actually felt good to work out some back soreness with some uprights and lat raises....
