Blood Pressure ??

I didn't know where i should post this so i thought this would be the best place.

My blood pressure has been really high like a few weeks ago it was 160 over 115 (pulse was 102!!).

Anyways they want to put me on medications, but i wasnt sure about it.

Is their any drugs for blood pressure that i should stay away from that will adversely affect my training?

Put it this way.....if you don't get on some bp meds soon, you're not gonna have to worry about training period.

Are you on cycle right now, what and how much? You might want to look at cutting back on your dosages till you get this under control. Are you taking an anti-aromatase to combat water retention?

No, i dont and havent used roids or PH's.

the doctor wanted to try a diurectic and something else but i cant remember.

If you are not on anything I see no reason to do what the doc wants. Like Stonecold said if you dont get it taken care of training is the last thing you will be worying about. Good luck

The reason why i wasnt as concerned in the begining is when the nurse said it was only "elevated" and didnt look real concerned so i figured it was no big deal. I go this friday so hopefully i can get something.

Now i'm worried though because my sisters got diabetes, my mother had a stroke in her 40's and high BP, just about everyone one on my dad's side is obese w/ heart problems.

Thanx, i def. will get it checked.

damn bro , thats really high. The highest I ever had was 184 over something. Right now I am right in the normal range. Get checked out, good luck.

I have the same problem when on a strong cycle. My DR. gave me a mild diuretic and it brought it back to normal in about a week. Roids cause water retention which leads to high BP.

I had 120/70 A yesterday. Did my first shot of test enanth on sunday. Using nolva at 10 mg ED.

second shot of enanth is tomorrow. Will Nolva help against high blood pressure if this occurs?

175 lbs.
8% bodyfat.

Gonna do Cardio 3-4 times a week.
and aspirin before sleep.

How big is your arm? Most doctor's cuffs only go to 13" and their "large adults" to 17" ask your doc....it skews the reading big time

From Pullinbig:

I have noticed a lot of guys saying that this was one of the sides they experience while ON. This is a side for me as well but i have learned to controll it with out BP meds. here's the deeleo and this has worked for everyone who has tried that i have spoken/shared with. Now dont ask me all the specifics as to why this works and how that works because i have a partial understanding of it all but just know that it WORKS.

800mg magnesium/d
800mg potasium/d
1-1.5g calcium/d
200mg coQ10/d
2-3 tablespoons fish oil or cod liver oil(real tbls)/d
several cups green tea/d
add hawthorn berry if you like.

this knocked 30 points of my diastolic in 2 weeks and 25 points off my systolic as well. My HR also dropped considerably as well.

now adding Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and anti Es will also help. I just listed the natural approach. Of course cardio helps too.

good luck guys and i think you'll be pleasantly surpised.
