Blood Results - High glucose?

On my last bloodwork, my glucose was 100 (65-99). I was wondering if anyone knew what this meant? Am I insulin resistant? I seem to carry a lot of belly fat, so I'm starting to think I have a problem with insulin.

Should I try a lower carb diet?

Heres the diet I was going to do. Let me know if it's ok. My goal is fat loss and I'm 5'10" about 210 lbs. I do a 5x5 workout Mon, Wed, Fri, and do HIIT about 4-5 times a week for 15 minutes.

6 egg whites (3 whole) (36g P, 13F)
8 fish oil (8g F)
1 banana (27 C)

6 egg whites (36g P)
14g almonds or walnuts (14g F)

34 pro shake (34g P)
14g almonds or walnuts (14g F)

Train

16oz. whole milk (16F, 16P, 26C)
34 pro
8 oz grape juice (37C)

dinner (meat and fish oil) (40g P, 16F)
8 fish oil
8 cla

its 1680-1860 calories depending on the amount of fat I have for dinner.

Thanks guys. I know this isn't the diet and training forum but I never get any responses there. Help a Maximus bro out!

If I had time I'd say more than this .... Terrible diet. Pony up the 100bucks and get a 5week diet plan from 3j. The only whole foods your eating is acouple handfuls of almonds, banana, 12egg whites and meat/fish for dinner? 1600-1800 calories at 210 pounds?? What happens when you plateau at those calories ? You gonna drop to 1200-1400?? Not enough. Drop the milk and juice... Too much sugar, try 2bananas after your workout and 60gr protein shake. Stick with protein shakes only after your workout, focus on If I had time I'd say more than this .... Terrible diet. Pony up the 100bucks and get a 5week diet plan from 3j. Oatmeal, sweet or red potato, Ezekiel bread, brown rice.

Cardio I'd do 45mins when you first wake up on an empty stomach, low intensity. Hitt if your cutting might burn some muscle.

Great I said too much .. Now I'm late

If was fasted then your a little out of range. But very very Minor. Might indicate some small insensitivity to insulin or minor minor issue with producing it. Seems very minor. Does type 1 or 2 run in your family?

I'm hypoglycemic (the other direction) and get very low blood suger (60s). Which means I produce too much insulin, compound by my low BF and high muscle mass.

I wouldn't worry about it if type 1 or 2 does not run in the family. It's pretty much within normal.

Well I wouldnt say it's a TERRIBLE diet. Considering I had mostly whole foods in there. I'll drop the milk and juice and add 2 bananas post workout. And my goal is to burn fat at this point. You're supposed to go around your BMR which for me is about 2k, so I do need to add a couple hundred more cals.

Anyone have input into what macros I should be eating at?

Mopar what do you think of the ROUGH diet?

Id die on that diet, I cut on 4k cals lol

I'd replace shakes with solid food if you can, cut the milk and juice and replace with solid food/fruit.

I re-did it a bit:

8 fish oil (8g F)
1 banana (27 C)

14g almonds or walnuts (14g F)

34 pro shake (34g P)
2 tspb peanut butter sandwich with whole wheat bread (16F, 35C)

Train

2 bananas (54C)
68pro shake (68P)

dinner (meat and fish oil) (40g P, 16F)
8 fish oil
8 cla

Totals:
P: approx 214
C: 116
F: approx 80-100g

2040 - 2200 calories

Looks ok to me other then I'd starve to death. Once you start adjust as needed. Looks easy to stick to, although you'll get sick of eggs after a few months.

I'd replace shakes with lean meat whenever you get the chance (red, white and fish).

Yea the egg whites might be tough after awhile, I'll find a replacement when that happens.

a 100 glucose score shows that you are insulin sensitive/pre-diabetic or have what is called the metabolic syndrome

how far into your testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) are you?? usually testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) brings your fasting glucose down

does your family have a history of diabetes??

what are your stats?

A few months in. It was the same (100) before I started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) also. My grandma has it and my mom's brother I believe. Not sure if anyone else does.

Will a lower carb diet help with this and metabolic syndrome?

sorry... 5'10, bout 210. Probably 20% (haven't checked it for real, so I'm just guessing) So I might be off a good bit. Main goal is fat loss at this point so I figured around 2k calories is a good place to start. With less than 150g carbs, round 215 g protein and 80-100 g of fat

Since it runs in the family I'd be a little worried. With good pre-diabetic eating habits though it should NOTbecome a real issue. My moms been pre-diabetic (worse then you) her whole life. Controled and kept as pre with diet. And your working on the weight loss needed already.
