Hi fellas,
I had some blood work done over the last couple of months and was interest in some opinions. I went to see my doctor with symptoms of fatigue, acne, hair loss on my lower legs and weight gain. I have always worked out, a lot of body building in my youth and circuit training lately. I had a low back injury that put me on the sidelines for about five months. I recovered enough to start working out again, but I just felt like crap, hence the doctor visit and blood work. 43 yrs/old, 6ft, 225lbs, No history of anabolic use. Here are the results:
Dec 2013
TT 232 ng/dL (241-827)
Started circuit training 4-5 days per week.
Jan 2014
TT 315 ng/dL (241-827)
Still training, still feel like crap.
Feb 2014
TT 384 ng/dL (241-827)
Thyroxine 6.7 mcg/dL (4.7-13.3)
FSH 2.6 mIU/mL (.7-10.8)
LH 2.3 mIU/mL (1.2-10-6)
TSH (3rd gen) 1.670 uIU/mL (.358-3.740)
Cortisol, am 15.00 ug/dL (4.30-22.40)
SHBG 27 nmol/L (10-50)
Feb 2014 (one week later)
TT 440 ng/dL (250-1100)
Free T 73.6 pg/mL (46.0-224.0)
Bio T 170.5 ng/dL (110.0-575.0)
SHBG 23 nmol/L (10-50)
Albumin (quest) 5.1 g/dL (3.6-5.1)
Prolactin 9.3 ng/dL (2.0-18.0)
DHT 20 (16-79)
Estradiol, ultra 38 (<29) I got these last two results over the phone and didn't get units, but I did get the range.
Also had CBC done and metabolic panel. All within spec.
HCT 46.1%
I started feeling a little better at the beginning of Feb, but I have started feeling worse lately. I have had good results regaining cardio fitness and some strength, but I should be 20lbs lighter by now and I have actually gained weight, some muscle, but my belt size tells the real story. These results are very atypical for me. I'm going for more blood work to see what has been happening. I have been doing a ton of research, but there is no substitute for experience. I hope you can help.
Thanks
