Blood tests results, should I bother seeing an endo?

I'm 26. My diet is good, I work out out 3 times a week. 6', 195 lbs, maybe 16% bf. Never smoked, haven't had any alcohol in I think 6 years now. No drugs.

I got these before I realized from reading online that you have to hold doctors' hands to have them do their jobs. The doctor very reluctantly agreed to add a "testosterone" check and when it came back she told me it was in the normal range. I didn't bother inquiring further.

Should I go to an endo with these? I'm in Canada, if anyone has specific information on endos here.

I've been feeling lethargic for years now, no motivation and general depression. I always ignored it saying I should just "man up" but I'm done with all of it, I'm at a point where I will happily self medicate if that's my only resort.

Thanks!

In ng/DL your TT is at 354. That is on the lower side for your age. I would get retested first thing in the morning to confirm the result. Also have your LH, FSH, vitamin D, estradiol and prolactin tested.

Your TSH looks high too. You are getting into the hypothyroid range. You should ask for a full thyroid panel to be run.

How's your sleep? Have you ever had a sleep study done?

Whether you continue working with your primary care doc or ask to see and endo is up to you. If your doc is reluctant to work with you that would be a good indicator to find a good endo.

Thanks.

I do have what you could call insomnia, I have a hard time falling asleep if i'm not absolutely tired and sometimes wake up in the middle of the night unable to go back to sleep.

The problem is that it seems at least in Ontario, doctors are nowhere to be found and I would have to jump through a lot of hoops and wait in many lines to actually see one. I spent a whole day trying to find a family doctor, and absolutely none are accepting new patients. So if there is a big chance that even if I do get to see one he will not help me then I will just find the stuff on my own...

Melatonin works great for that. It is over the counter. There are two ways to use it.

Best way is to take 1-2mg about 3 hours before you want to go to sleep. It will shift your sleeping phases forward.

If you can't take it in advance, take 5mg and that should help you fall asleep in about 20 minutes.

If you wake up at night and need help getting back to sleep take 5mg again.

Melatonin shouldn't have any I'll effects when you wake up. No feeling groggy.

Last thing, get the kind that melts under your tongue. They work the best.

I use Melatonin and ZMA. It's not that bad, just a few times a month, and I've been moving quite a bit these past few years so had to get used to a new place. If such a common problem (which is my only relevant 'symptom') would cause even a 10% drop in testosterone I would still want it much higher anyways.
