Blood Work Results in and I'm Shattered

Oiiiiiii.

With an LH/FSH like that, you *might* be able to restart with clomid therapy, but at your age - I can only see it being a temporary fix honestly. Granted, I'm not a doctor - but I've seen quite a few guys our age restart, only to have their numbers plunge again regardless of pituitary output. This pretty much sounds like what your doctor considered and why he opted to just go for the testosterone replacement instead. (That or he isn't aware of clomid therapy.)

I think it comes down to how you want to attack this. I would for sure put some sperm away in the bank as you never know if you'll remain fertile, and that would be a terrible thing to have that option taken from you. Sperm are resilient little tadpoles, but I'm not so sure that's a gamble you'd want to take given the fact you don't have children yet. I definitely agree that gel probably isn't the answer here and as your girl is a nurse, will only help you in your case as it seems your doc has quite the open mind. If you decide that you're just going to take the plunge, I'd give the gel a try for a little while and see how things go for you. This does two things: 1. It shows your doctor that you're willing to put trust in his judgement, and 2. It lets you know for sure if you need to go the injectable route or not.

Either way, I am dumbfounded that you need a total test of 115.368ng/dL to qualify, as that is even lower than I was - and I felt like living death! You're actually not far from my original total test value of 120ng/dL, so I'm surprised that you haven't been experiencing more of the negative sides from low test. Then again, I had no clue I had low test either as my docs kept just shoveling anti-depressants/benzos/other meds at me instead to mask the source of my woes. You're pretty close, but I'd take that blood test (on top of everything else he suggested to you) later in the day as well. That should help drive it down that extra 20 points, so you can fit in under that silly value they require.

Definitely keep us updated!

Yep, Ill be up all night and ill finish a bottle of wine tonight. Fertility is my biggest issue. My girl will be shattered if we cant have kids.
Do you recommend freezing some sperm before i start the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)?
i DID ask my Doc about this and he mentioned he would put me on HCG.
I have some at home..

Once i get through all the tests etc, i am looking forward to a nice blast and cruse, without having to worry about PCT :)
I have so much stock at home just waiting to be used. Ill probably try get my hands on as much test as i can, seen as though its something i need.
As mentioned before Halfwit, im a night shift worker.. so... when i go for the test in the morning, it will actually be my evening. I would have just finished a 12 hour shift. Just got to get the levels down to 4, and the government will pay for my treatment.

I might consult with a fertility clinic tomorrow and ask them if they mind if i come and jerk off there for a while, and give them a few sample of my sperm, if its any good...LOL
Looking forward to better health my man, im not fat, but im carrying more weight then i should be... plus a back injury that lingers, Doc said it is highly likely due to low t.
Plus more energy to keep up with my 25 year old wife.... :)

Yep, definitely recommend banking some sperm just in case. Of course, getting a fertility test first is a good idea so you know you're not banking bad swimmers. ;) I totally forgot that you work nights, so yeah - at the end of your "day" would be best.

Yes, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is a game changer. You'll likely soon realize how much you were missing that you had just accepted as part of getting older. Your 25 year old wife is going to have a hard time keeping up with YOU very soon. ;)

Great, cause i sometime struggle with keeping up with her need to put out 2 or 3 times a night....She was killing me.
Fertility test i will organize straight after blood test tomorrow..
Time to get the show on the road.
Thanks for your input my man, your an asset to this forum..

Get some Cialis (even if you do not experience any ED problems) and take that in combination with your treatment and she will have a hard time keeping up with you!

Hahahah..... Love ya work. Ill ask my Doc for some. Shouldn't be a problem, plus i hear it has great health benifits.. Being with a girl half your age, and the Cialis that is ;)

Yes i did mention this to my DR. He is heading off on Holidays, so just put me on these until he gets back, then we will discuss injections.
My girl is a nurse so she can pin me to save me the trouble... Not sure how that works, if they normally send you home with the Test, or if the DR makes you come in and he does it. I did mention to him that my wife was a nurse.

Ahhh this is all taking a while to sink in... How could my guys let me down like this? hahahah...
Just praying the testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) does not open up any other cans of worms or complications. Im hoping from here on end ill shed the weight i want, lower my cholesterol, and feel alot more motivated.
A new beginning, I always think of Sylvester Stallone when he got caught trying to bring Test and HGH into Australia, he said "every person over the age of 40 should be on Test" :)
He still looks good today at the age of 65...
Im hoping this treatment will be of a huge benefit to my overall health and well being.
This forum has certainly helped me out alot... More information and support then i could get from anywhere else.

Just know this Sly isn't in the normal range for either! I guarantee he is doing a borderline cycle all the time probably in the 200mg/week range. To keep as much mass as he does isn't normal for a 65 years old with normal/high T ranges.

I think Sly runs HGH as well, at least from what is rumored.

He has admitted to both and is a huge advocate. A friend has been on many sets with Sly and says He is a very cool guy in person, works very hard, and truly is about trying to make good films.

Regardless of what he is on I doubt it is NORMAL range anything! Way too much mass, way to cute, almost anyone let alone someone in there mid 60's.

I'm not hating I'm jealous ...lol!!
