Bloods In. Question About Dosing.

Guys,

When you're looking at your blood levels are you concentrating on Free & Bio-Available numbers, rather than total test? Are you also looking at your peak or trough levels?
When I read some people are aiming for the high trt numbers, is this bio or total and is this the lowest trough level, or at the highest peak level?

I'm shooting 150mg of Test.E once a week and running 12.5mg of Aromasin a day. I've been on this protocol for 10 weeks now after finishing a blast of test.e at 500mg/week.
I'm still trying to fine tune this setup which I plan on staying on for at least another 6 months, or maybe for life. Who knows? I'm 35 now.
I shoot every Saturday and had my blood taken on Monday, so 48 hours after injection. I'm still awaiting my trough levels to come back, taken this morning before my latest shot.

Free Test 33.60 ng/dL
Bio Available 881.00 ng/dL
SHBG 36.26 ng/dL
Estradiol 19.00 pg/mL

I'd really like to know what most guys are aiming for. I've read some guys are taking up 250mg/week on a TRT dose. Is it possible to push my Free Test up to 1000 ng/dL and still be within range of a TRT dose. I know ideally it would be best to shoot twice a week for more stable blood levels.

Why in the world are you trying to push your free test to 1000? Your test levels look fine.


Second question is.. why not just see a doctor? They will be more than happy to keep you around 1g on your total test.

I have no idea what your trying to say here............

To the OP. Yes you are pushing it a bit and your E2 is way too low for your TT levels. Consult your doc obviously but it may be wise to look into backing off the Aromatase inhibitor (AI) dose a tad.

If you were to reduce your adex, your TT numbers would drop and your SHBG would most likely go up, giving you a more sustainable free roaming T%.

You most likely will actually feel better, you won't be "stroking out" as I like to put it in laymen

I was thinking of splitting my dose and taking it sub-q twice a week to make my levels more steady, and also dropping the Aromatase inhibitor (AI) (Aromasin) and re-testing my numbers in a month.

If my E2 hovers around 40-50 on this test dose with no Aromatase inhibitor (AI), I'd be happy with that. The only issue I can think why I might need the Aromatase inhibitor (AI) is the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) 3 times a week at 250iu might spike my estro a bit.

You're right my E2 is too low. My libido has taken a hit since I dropped down to my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dosage, but my bio test is good.

no problem, remember now that we understand Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) has a bi-phasic pattern we don't want to take it more often then every 3-4 days.

I took 0.3ml (75mg) this morning via sub-q injection with 29G insulin needle. Wow, so easy! I wish I'd tried this before.
I don't think I will ever go back to IM now. If I run a blast again I'd shoot Sub-Q, 0.5ml x 4 times a week.

I'll run this Sub-Q setup for a couple of weeks and then get my bloods taken to see how it's doing.

I'm hoping my libido will come back as my e2 climbs now I'm off the AI.

Just for information, I got my bloods back which were taken before my weekly injection, on the morning of the 7th day after my last shot.
This is the lowest my test drops in a week and WOW!.... It certainly drops off after a week! No wonder I would feel full of fire on a Monday (48 hours after my shot) and then crappy by Friday...

Last Sunday I started my Sub-Q twice a week. I had my bloods taken this morning (48 hours after shot) and will have my bloods taken again tomorrow before my 2nd Sub-Q shot of the week.
I'm aiming for total test of around 1,000 constant through the week without it dropping below 800, with e2 of 40-50. I'll even go to Sub-Q on Mon, Wed & Fri to even things out some more.
I'm quite lucky, I have easy access to a lab, so can get my bloods drawn every morning for 7-10 days for perfection.

Last Sunday (03/03/13) I took 0.4ml (250mg/ml) sub-q. I then had my bloods taken 48 hours and was surprised by the result. I was hoping to hit 1000 total test. This is what I got:

Free test 11.30 ng/dL
Bio Available 294.00 ng/dL
SHBG 42.36 ng/dL
Estradiol 30.00 pg/mL

I'm going to change my dosing regime again and have bloods taken every day starting tomorrow to see how it goes. I'm going to shoot 0.3ml three times a week. Mon, Wed & Fri. I'd really like to hit a stable level of 1,000 total test and then I will evaluate from there.

It has only been a week. You need to give a protocol change more time to work. Especially sub-q which takes even longer to get into your body. Give it a solid 3-4 weeks to level off AND then pull some blood work. You can't expect these changes to manifest themselves immediately. You are not on an IV drip.

Last results. These were taken on the morning of Thursday 7th morning before my 2nd sub-q shot.

Bio Available 362.00 ng/dL
SHBG 39.87 ng/dL
Estradiol 30.00 pg/mL

Looks like Sub-Q is a much slower release than IM as my levels were still climbing from my sub-q shot taken 4 days before.

Anyway, I'll take Megatron's advice and keep on my new schedule for a few weeks then re-test. My aim is a stable free test of around 1,000 and bio test of 500.
