Hi, i'm 25, 186cm, 83 kg, around 15% bf. i've always had difficulties putting on muscle and getting rid of abdominal fat. Even though i sleep around 8-9 horus every night i feel like shit during the entire day, i feel like im out of energies. Almost everytime i hop on any physical activity i feel mentally and physically fatigued soon, and cant perform for long enough on any sport or physical activity. (some times i cant even finish my workout in the gym) i have just put on a shitty amount of muscle on the last 2 years working out even with almost a perfect diet.
I have almost zero sexdrive, i just broke with my gf due to having lost interest, and i just masturbate once a week by forcing myself to do it.
I have never done any prohormones or anything.

Here are my bloodworks

1st time my dr just asked for T and free T
Testosterone total 5,86 [2,49-8,36] ng/ml
Testosterone free 10,1 [5,6-30] pg/ml

2nd bloodwork
Lipid panel
Cholesterol 145 [120-200]
HDL-cholesterol 47,9 [>35 mgrs/dl]
LDL-cholesterol 84 [<130 mg/dL]
Triglycerides 67 [30-170]

Hormones
FSH 3,4 [1,7-12,4] mUI/ml
LH 7,34 [1-12,6] mUI/ml
Prolactin 28,12 [<22 ng/ml]

psa total ag 0,19 [<1,4]
psa free ag (FPSA) 0,87 [0,00-0,90]

Testosterone
Testosterone total 7,11 [2,49-8,36]
Testosterone free 9,8 [5,6-30]

Went to urologist and he got surprised at how my total test was fine but my free test was very low for my age. he prescribed Testim gel for 3 months.
What's your opinion guys?
(sorry for my bad english, im not native)
Thanks in advance.

Your Testosterone is fine for your age. Actually, it is above average! You do not need TRT.

I would worry more about your high Prolactin. I would also check your thyroid (TSH lab test) and get a sleep study done to make sure you don't have sleep apnea.

Do NOT start using the gel as it will mess you up. And get a new doctor who knows what he or she is doing.

Thanks for the advice.
thats why i came here for advice, i just got pretty scared of using exogenous testosterone with that total T level.

should i also ask the doctor about the causes of the low free T level instead of putting me right away on the gel?

Well your total test is not above the average for your age. But it isn't crazy low by any means but at the end of the day total test doesn't really mean shit when it comes to how the body uses it. Free is what matters...and your free test seems pretty lowish. Figure out why your free T is low. If you were to use TRT even tho your total test would go up that does not mean your free T will by much obviously your body is doing something funky. Remember everyone is different with test levels as well. One guy may feel great with your levels where another guy could feel like death. Everyone is different. Hormones are complicated and very individual.

ANother thing to try is getting bloods done at other labs as well. Different labs have different ranges and yield different results

What a loser doc u have bro. No offense.
Elevated prolactin out of range with healthy mid range T and he throws you scripts for TRT.
Disgusting!

And if he knew what he was doing he wouldn't diagnose you hypogonadal off a simple FREE Testosterone blood test. Did he check your SHBG or Bio Avail. T ?
I never saw Estradiol tested either.

Most TRT pros don't diagnose off Free T JT.....
They go by TT, BIO AVAIL. T, symptoms.

Lol doesnt matter what most do. It's what actually makes sense. And what I am saying is free T is far more responsible for the symptoms than total T. Bio avail btw is very similar to free t.

Here's a scenario. Labs I had when natty T (last year)

TT: 9-10 nmol/l (range: 7.6-31.4 nmol/l)
FT: 26 pmol/l (range: 31-94 pmol/)
BIO AVAIL. T: 7.1 nmol/l (range: 2.5-18.7 nmol/l)

Judging by these lab numbers I just wrote above. ...
Am I clinically hypogonadal ?
I was told I was healthy as a horse by 2 endos and a g.p......
Lol

Thanks for the responses guys.

My family doc and an endo referred me to this one urologist, i thought he was thrustworthy just because of that, but now that i have been reading some other threads on the forum im pretty scared about how thoughtlessly (dont even know if that term exists) he diagnosed me with hypogonadism. I was just going to start the treatment tomorrow morning, but i think i'll go to another doctor for a second opinion and have SHBG, bioavaliable T, Estradiol and TSH tested as well as a sleep study done. Im lucky i did find this forum before i started the treatment.
I dont know if i should ask for something more on my tests, am i on the good trail?

Read the Basic TRT Overview sticky in this forum. I covers blood work.

Man, I know it was just a typo, but I think you've hit on the new name for these quacky docs. Dorctor, as in Dorktor. I love it! I'll be using that to refer to the dorky docs that prescribe ridiculous approaches to trt, like the one my friend recently got for 100mg shots every 4 weeks. Sad.

Dorktor. I'm still chuckling.

ok, thanks guys for all the help, i'll be reporting the new results of bloodwork and what the new doc tells me.
Yeah it was just a typo, i noticed the funny mistake right when i finished redacting the opening post.

Ya at your age a good trt specialist isn't just going to throw you on some test and say yur good to go. They will try a lot before that!

25 y.o. with mid range T and elevated prolactin.....
Heres a script for some Test Gel....
Lol
Ridiculous.
He's gotta love those big pharma kick backs....
