bloody shins !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is it natural for me to have bloody shins after doing deads? there is a strip on my shins that is completely bald from the bar scraping!!! damn it hurts....am i doin something wrong????

bar tears up skin, what happens then... shins get bloody.. common sense. yes its natural for the human body to do this believe it or not.

do u own any long pants?
 
the best thing to do is use some duct tape or better yet by some cheap soccer shin guards and use those..of course ive been meaing to buy them myself for 2 years now lol

remember some people will whack their shins others might not..if that is your groove than stick with it..my shins are always black and blued or cut LOL

I dont scrape my shins but the bar goes up right up almost touching them. Do you guys feel deads mostly in your quads and lower back? im wondering if thats normal or if it should be mostly hams/glutes and back.
 
Just wear a pair of those long soccer socks. Or if you're a real man and don't play soccer ;), steal a pair from one of your less-masculine friends like I did
 
bloody shins are a part of deads but a poorly designed bar can add to the troubles if the knurling isnt exactly right .
 
yeah, wear soccer socks you can roll up. works great even if you do have to look like a tool for a few min.
 
Bloody shins could lead to an infection which could keep you out of the gym for a while. Gym equipment is manifested with bacteria, keep that in mind and always wash your hands afterwards.
 
Put talcome powder on your shins bro. Back in my powerlifing days thats what we did. Chalk on the hands, talcome on the shins. it gets kinda gross though when the powder and blood mix and we walked around with pink slime on our shins...
