Bodybuilding Pasta, Great Find At The Grocery Store

The product is Barilla Plus, I prefer the Penne. It's an enriched multigrain pasta that is a good source of complex carbs, fiber, and protein. Also contains ALA and is a good source of Thiamin and Folate and is a decent source of Riboflavin and Niacin. I just like it as a carb source bc it contains a decent amount of protein as well. And the taste isn't bad at all. Nutritional info:

Serving Size: 2 oz
Calories: 200
Fat: 1g
Cholesterol: 0mg
Sodium: 25mg
Total Carbs: 38g
- Fiber: 4g
- Sugars: 1g
Protein: 10g

Ingredients: semolina, grain and legume flour blend (lentils, chickpeas, oats, spelt, barley, egg whites, ground flaxseed, and wheat fiber), durum flour, niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid.

Yeah, I just bought four more boxes of their angel hair pasta, yesterday. Good carbs plus the protein, and every bit as good as the usual pasta. I actually think it warms up better than the usual pasta.

Texture (spagetti) doesn't hold the sauce as well as the regular however... :smoker:

Nothing compares to semolina, but it holds up pretty well. I think much better than the whole wheat crap. Having an Italian mother, I know where you are coming from.

I am going to have to try this, I am a fan of the quality of Barilla pasta so a high protein pasta will be worth trying.

Great find. The hardest thing for me is getting in those quality carbs other than oats. I'm gonna try this shizzle.

i thought every one knew about this stuff, i have been using it for quite a while on pasta nights. hell even the kids will eat it.

I am surprised that it took me so long to discover this pasta, usually when it comes to food I am in the know.

Are these meals expensive? I have started working out and wanting to eat something healthy compared to the shit the cafeteria at my company serves.

Cheap as dirt. Couple bucks for a box of pasta.
