Bored during Cardio, any advice??

I have been doing consistent cardio for about 7 months now. I have been losing weight, trying to lose even more. Diet is great, lifting also. Here's my thing; I do about 30 to 45 mins of cardio 4 to 5 times a week. This sounds like a petty issue but I just want to get off after 5 minutes because I am so bored. I now watch DVD's on my portable (which I got specifically for this reason) but all I can conentrate on is the clock. Any ideas of things i can do?? Reading is out of the question, tried that, impossible. Suggestions would be great

Do cardio outside of the gym. Go for hikes, play some sports with friends. I always find that if I'm doing cardio with someone else the time flies by.

Bring some really great tunes to the gym and crank them loud while you're doing cardio! That works for me.:D

I have a keyboard mounted on my bike so I can cruise the board while getting my cardio!

Do you work out at a gym that offers different classes (ie cardio kickbox, hip hop, step)? I find variety helps me get through a cardio work out. I also learned how to teach classes too (not hard at all) and got hired part time by the gold's gym I used to go to. it was great because i was held accountable for being there as well as having to go over and above becuase others were counting on me.
I have also tried books on tape. It is easier than trying to read while moving.
Do you have a work out partner? Talking to someone while doing cardio can also pass the time.

as someone else said, if nothing is keeping your attention inside, you need to do cardio outside. i find that while 45 min on a stationary bike is torture (timewise), 45 min on a bike outside goes by like nothing. also try jogging.

Give HIIT a try - it will shorten your cardio time and it's very difficult to get "bored" when you feel like you're going to keel over and die.

LMAO!!!

I agree with trying different forms of cardio inside and out. When I get frustrated with cardio I try to visualize the results - If I continue to do this - this is what I will look like kind of thing - Just to keep my motivation up.

Also, someone to talk to helps to pass the time if you have a friend who will go with you.

And shout out to Fyre - LOUD kick ass music!!!
