bubbles in the suringe

I always get the air out of the suringe before I shoot, but today I had a little bubble the size of a half of rice grain, maybe smaller - I saw it when the needle was already in so I was like fuck it. Still alive, but have no idea is that a big deal or wtf

no big deal, u r injecting IM not IV. Even it if was IV it would take like atleast a CC to notice any near deadly effects lol. Your fine. You should have a bubble anyways from aspirating.

bubbles are most of the time inevitable. as long as u aspirate u are 90% good to go. u can still aspirate and see no blood in a vain though so u still have to be careful. i think its like 2cc air in ur blood stream that will kill u.

Theres also 2 types of bubbles which can appear in the syringe. One being air, the other being empty space. If you can think logically about where the bubbles came from they may be completely harmless. When you aspirate the needle you are not seeing air bubbles.. rather just empty space aka nothing at all.

Please tell me that you're joking ??????

This "empty space" you talk of, what in the hell do you think it consists of ??

i usually have tiny air bubbles when I draw, but after I let it stand upright for a few moments and then run it under warm water to warm the oil they go away.

how much do u aspirate? i pull back a little bit but thre a lot of resistance..i dont know how much to pull back

I've never hit a vein before but I would think you'd need only a slight tug to draw blood because of blood pressure already present. I usually give a decent tug until I see a tiny bubble come into the end of the syringe.

Its called a vaccuum. Let me refresh freshmen high school science class for you. Next time your drawing from a vial do the following... fill it half way then pull the syringe all the way back and watch as lots and lots of bubbles appear.. then focus one bubble by itsself and you will notice that it does not go anywhere but as more and more liquid is drawn into the syringe it gets smaller and smaller untill it disappears as less pressure is inside the syringe. Id love to see air shrink and vanish. Common sense bro.

Purplepatriot, I think it is time you revisited your grade nine science textbook.

Your grasp on basic physics, is lacking to say the least.

err...yeah, my vote is for vacuum but not because purple patriot said it. i pull hard when i aspirate; it form a "space"; then when i stop pulling, the "space" goes away...anyway, who cares. wasn't this thread about Every Day Average Girls in Sexy Clothing?
