i like this sled idea, its new to me and sounds fuckin awsome!!!

im going to fashion one after lunch and take it for a test run....

if anyone of you are on LI and see a short tatooed man runnin down Jones Beach sweating like a gerbil in a gay bar, its the Hammer!!!!

shit i found the perfect sled in my garage...its an old school plastic snow plough thing, all i need to do is fasten some straps and a post to hold the weights ... all i got are those shitty concrete block weights and the heaviest one i got i think is 12.5, but i dont think ill be doing more than 50 lbs anyway... if i remeber someone said 90 lbs was kickin their ass?? Ive got some training to do...

yes 90 lbs kicked my ass..its alot harder then it looks..
its a great cardio workout as well as a strength builder..

i think sand may be tough though as it may pile onot the sled

Holy Shit!!!!

OMG!!! I ran (more like fast jog!) a half a mile up the beach @ Long Beach, had to walk the way back... I put only 30lbs on it (total weight sled included was about 40-45lbs)...that shit kicked my ass!!! I only made a belt, i need to attach some shoulder straps too...my back is a little sore, and my calves are on fire!!!

i must've gotten stopped a dozen times, people were amazed at what the hell i was doing, not to mention a few girls wanted to go for a ride!!!

Great workout, great idea... Although, I did legs this morning in the gym (some squats, calf raises, and a few other exercises), probably wont be able to walk tomorrow, but it was definetly worth it!!! Got one hell of a tan too...

i was speakin to a buddy of mine who trains at a different gym, he is a boxer, he too told me he used to run with old tires draging behind him, but he was told that doing this causes xtra stress on joints/ligaments and is really bad for you. He also said that it is bad for the knees.. any thruth to this?
