Building Bicept peaks

I'm getting back into the gym (again) after a lay-off. I've maintained most of my muscle but I have never been able to get a peak on my bis! My arms look OK at 18" but without a peak they just don't show! Is there a certain exercise that will hit them right? Thx

In my opinion there are three types of biceps. These are listed from best to worst, in terms of appearance. There are 1) the high peaking ones (Coleman), 2) the long full-bellied ones (I think Levrone has some like this), and 3) the long, flat ones that mean you got genetically shafted. Mine are somewhere between a 2 and 3 I believe.

Lose some fat.

Very true. I don't know your bodyfat percentage, but if it's too high peaks will never show.

Dropping your bf will help them show along with doing concentration curls and other various bicep exercises. Also genetics will play a role with your peak!

Not bad. There not huge but all you need to do is add size. You do have a nice start. Looks like you have short muscle belly there! I am the same way, I have a large gap when I flex between the bottom of the bi and the forearm. I am trying to bring mine up though with preacher curls!

Priest curl, probably the same as a preacher curl, just different religion. I do not know, but I am sure you know what a preacher curl is.

LMAO @ the smartass. Priest curl equals backwards preacher curl, I believe. I could be wrong but I thought it was turning around so that your body was on the angled portion of the bench and hanging your arms off the back.

When I looked into Priest Curls more I found that it might be just a twist on Arnold curls, where you rotate the dumbell from hammer curl to normal to work the entire forearm. Lee Priest has this listed as one of his arm workouts. Working backwards on the preacher curl sounds like it would really isolate the bottom of the bicep, I will have to try it next time even though I make look like a complete dumbass in my gym backwards on the preacher curl!

i have a peak on my right but my left arm is lagging, i'm so frustrated trying to get my left bicep as thick and big as my right. any suggestions to speed this process? and i'm also garaunteed a peak in my left bicep since my right side has one right? thanks.
