Burn 500 calories in 20mins or 2 hours - makes a difference?

Is it better to run a healthy speed for 30mins and burn 500 calories (according to the running machines) OR .....
cycle gently for 2 hours and burn 500 calories?

This question just popped in my head as at the moment im aiming for 500 calories per 20-25mins running at high speed which DRAINS me out. Makes me feel good like .... RAHH that was a good cardio day BUT .... after 2 weeks I feel a bit worn out and dont look forward to the next "daily sprint" ~ was thinking of another approach/technique ie slow burning calories.

Preach me some wisdom my children (u wot) lol
 
The longer your heartrate is up, the more calories you're going to burn, but excessive or excessively intense cardio burns muscle.....................bah, I dunno here.
 
Long slow cardio will tend to tap into fat stores more than muscle. IMO the slow cardio will be more effective for keeping lean.
 
yeah like my cardio consists of walking from my truck into the pizza parlor to pick up my two large ones. if i walk slow i can feel it better. if walk fast it...well...... jes dont sit well wif me.

so theres ya answer. slower is better.
BTW if you guys have never had a white pie get one. m mm good.
 
white pies are good PB...i got one better though..tell them to make your normal pie with sauce and everything and then put some ricotta on top put it back in the oven to cook some more..mmmmm damn i just ate but i can pound a slice or 2 of sicilian anytime!!!!
 
hell we got um in north carolina.

yeah i love riccotta or feta on my pies. esp white pies. i have an italian friend from conneticet that lives down here and he turned me on to them. first one i tried was garlic and clam white pie. sound nasty but it was awesome. i love italian food. cheese tortilini with alfredo sauce. man i am in heaven. plus the italian babes are hot.
