guys i left my prop on a plate to dry in the oven with the door open. I come back 10 mins later and about 15% of it is melted and brown in color, about 30% is just brown, not melted, and the rest is fine.

Is it still ok? can i save it?

I was thinking of redissolving in methyl alcohol and coffee filtering it, would that work?

Anything that's turned color is most likely oxidized, chuck it.

thanks Doc i can always count on you to answer my questions when no one else does

anyways, i redisolved in methanol and filtered. added water to have the test precipitate out, caught the powder and let it dry, and its clean as can be! NO brown flakes or anything.

Doc what are your opinions on this? Still trash it?
