Can somebody review these new labs?

I was on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) @160mg weekly--I NOW am on 200mg weekly{divided into two shots}...HCG..Anastrazole @ one half tab every other day.

I just got labs back and the whole paper looks different because it's from a different lab.

It says:
TOTAL ESTROGENS: 87

TESTOSTERONE FREE TOTAL WITH SHBG :700

CALC FREE TESTOSTERONE: 15.6
TESTOSTERONE REF RANGE: it says "see above".




Above it says:
TESTOSTERONE, FREE/TOTAL WITH SHBG TESTOSTERONE :700ng/dl 298-867




SEX HORM BIND GLOBULIN: 33 MMOL/L 16-94




CALC FREE TESTO 15.6 NG/DL 4.8-25.0


He says everything looks perfect. Isn't 87 high?

Your idiot doctor tested Total Estrogen. That's basically useless. You need to test Estradiol (E2). You are taking a LOT of Arimidex though. I would bet your E2 is pretty low. How are you feeling? Any fatigue or joint pain?

Your other numbers seem fine. I'm surprised your Total Test is only 700 at 200mg/week. How much do you weigh?

I dont have joint pain but i DO have erection problems.
So this test is useless. Can I request the test you said so soon after getting it done?

You can definitely get your Estradiol checked anytime you want and as often as you want.

I wouldn't change your dose until you get your lab results back for Estradiol. But low Estradiol can cause erection problems. As can high Estradiol. Figuring out things around Estradiol can be a bitch unfortunately.

I take 200mg of test per week and .50mg of Arimidex per week with that. I break each of them up in to two doses taken every 3.5 days. Just because that works for me doesn't mean it will work for you though. Get labs back and make adjustments accordingly.

I don't know how the Total Estrogen number is calculated. There are three types of estrogen. E1, E2 and E3. They are not all equal. See the following from Wiki.

The three major naturally occurring estrogens are estrone (E1), estradiol (E2), and estriol (E3). Estradiol is the predominant estrogen both in terms of absolute serum levels as well as in terms of estrogenic activity. Though estriol is the most plentiful of the three estrogens it is also the weakest, whereas estradiol is the strongest with a potency of approximately 80 times that of estriol.

And I think Estradiol is something like 10-15 times the potency of Estrone.

I don't think Total Estrogen takes the different potencies into account, but I could be wrong. Anyhow, best to just measure your Estradiol levels.
