Yeah when you deplete your body or carbs (energy) you crave them like crazy
All about will power. When I do it I am super tired most of the time but I also eat carbs before a workout for energy. I would only do it for 20 days then add a little more in. Got pretty shredded.

I am a big fan of low carb diets and I have heard the complete opposite. You pound the carbs after your workout to promote growth and you get energy for the workout from your glycogen stores. It is called carb backloading by kiefer and he actually advocates against eating carbs before a workout to avoid an untimely crash.

low carb is fine, but zero carbs is just not gonna be comfortable no matter how u do it... your body must have a maintenance level of carbs even on a cutting diet or ur gonna be eating away at your lean muscle tissue as well. Sounds like u are in a catabolic state.

Pro bodybuilders only get this feeling in the last 7-10 days before a comp so if u are trying to do this for a prolonged period I would hate to imagine the feeling.

My diet for the last couple months
Meal 1: 6:00am.. Oats and one scoop of whey, green tea, coffee
Meal 2: 7:30am.. 5 egg whites
Meal 3: 9:30am.. 250g (one chicken breast) 1 cup of beans 1 cup of brown rice
Meal 4: 11:30am.. 250g chicken breast, half cup of brown rice, 1 cup of beans
Meal5: 1400.. 4 egg whites
Meal6: 1530.. 250g chicken breast and 1 cup of beans
Meal7: pre workout BCAA's and 1 teaspoon of peanut butter
Meal8:post: 2 scoops of whey and half cup of oats
Meal8: 1 hour from workout: 250g chicken breast, 1 cup of beans

I'll have a few almonds or cashews between meals to keep my (genetically slow endomorph) metabolism going

Do you know exactly how many grams of carbs/day your getting? You should've had a platform/base consumption of carbs before you began so you know how many carbs your cutting. Gradually lowering your carbs is the way to go with most of them consumed before 2pm. How many weeks do you plan on dieting? I start lowering my carbs anywhere from about 400g to around 120g throughout 12-14 weeks for competition. Last 2 weeks I lower even more to about 60g. Never do I go ketogenic (0 carbs). 25-40g before and after your workout is just fine. If you were just eating "normal" and decided to cut almost all your carbs at once within a couple of weeks it will be very hard on you mentally and psyically. This is where most muscle wasting takes place as well.

i get about 150g of carbs per day.. i plan to maintain this for the next 6 weeks then as you said go.down.to 60g
