Carb questions

I need some opinions (facts would be better, but it's hard enough to get two people to agree). Do you consider maltodextrin to be a "good" carb? I read something that said maltodextrin has a glycemic index of about 158, which would make it higher glycemic than regular sugar (which is about 80). TrueProtein only offers maltodextrin and dextrose as carbs so I'm wondering if there is something I don't know. This is what trueprotein.com says, "Though these polymers are derivatives of dextrose, Maltodextrin is complex in nature and has a slower digestion time. These glucose polymers are metabolized at a slower rate compared to it’s “sister” compound dextrose, and should
be used accordingly during sporting activities."

How is a high-glycemic carb considered complex? So what do you think about maltodextrin in (most) MRPs on the market?

Also, what about low fat yogurt? It's so high in sugars, yet I've seen people say it's a good carb?

Opinions?
