I've been on a bulking cycle for about 12 weeks now. I'm trying to stay lean at the same time . But at night is when I crave carbs. My meals are as follows

Meal 1, 8am - egg whites - 5-8
Meal 2. 10am - Half pb sandwich on whole wheat
Meal 3 12-1 pm - salad with grilled chicken or steak
Gym
Protein shake
Meal 4 730-8pm Large amount protein ( meatloaf, chicken, fish, steak) one of those with green veggies
Meal 5 10pm spoonful or two of pb, couple peices deli turkey,or ham or other. N sometimes cereal ( special k protein plus, kashi. ( those are the carbs I'm talking about at night) cereal being in a small bowl having 1-2 bowls with 2% milk

Any advice,comments,questions

Not near enough protein...and...

You're lacking carbs through the day bro...

Introduce a cup of dry oats at 10 am ...mix in some blueberries (anitoxidant) and two tablespoons of almond butter. Drop the PB and whole wheat bread...bread is one of the worst things for a bodybuilder.....loaded in shitty carbs...and loaded with sodium which makes you hold water.

At 2 pm have 1 cup of blueberries/raspberries..

At 5 pm have another cup of dry oats and mix in a couple tablespoons of zero sugar jam or honey.

This will reduce the night time feeding frenzy for carbs !!!

you eat at noon-1pm and your next meal is 730-8pm......not good, too long.

also more protein, in all your meals. I would also eat more carbs post WO to help with your craving at night.

Post WO your body will use them for muscle growth.....so i wouldnt worry too much about it turning into fat.

well its not that im worried about the sugar really anymore casue i relise the only place its coming from is when i have a yogurt or cereal at night. but the thing is, ill eat like 3 peices of deli meat with just lettuce n have like 2 of those n a few scoops of pb, i try to cut out carbs at night, but i meen , if im cutting them out like 90% during the day and have them at night, how can that be too much different, other then the fact that i do it before i go to sleep n my body is stationary .

If your bulking why are your meals consisting of salads? Eat more carbs for breakfast and post wrkout definitely

people are scared of the carbs due to this myth theyll make u fat anything in excess will make u fat gentlemen. carbs are what drives the nutrients into ur muscles. Just avoid ur simple carbs unless pwo its not hard its not rocket science just do it 40/40/20 .

a certain un-named fight camp and bodybuilders train there as well and strange enough they will not let there members, fighter or bodybuilders to eat carbs after lunchtime. not sure of the theory behind it.
