Cardio 2x45 min sessions?

I am looking to get very lean this summer and wanted to get some insight on when to start doing cardio 2 times a day? I hear its over training for some, but it seems every one who competes does this?

I do about 4 x30 min sessions a week and I'm down to 224 from 238.

Here is my diet so far.

530-morning workout weights/ cardio

7am- 50-75g whey or lowfat cottage cheese
20-40g cream of wheat

9am 50-75g of whey and 3 rice cakes. or granola bar/ almonds

11 or 12- chicken or steak

3pm- cottage cheese

5pm-chicken or steak

8-10pm 50g whey and peanut butter

I plan to stick with the weights 5 times a week. 4-5 exercises per bodypart.
 
seems like your doing great with four times a week at 30 minutes. I'd stay with it and don't overtrain.
