Cardio amount ????

I really hate doing cardio but I can really tell when I dont it affects my lifting ability stamina. My question is what would be a minimum amount to keep good heart health? I dont like running so I usually beat on the punching bag. lately I havent even been doing that and I can tell. For you guys that dont like cardio but have to do it what is your cardio days and workout like?
 
To keep good heart I would say do 3 times a week 40 minutes. Don't worry...you won't lose muscle with this amount.

Many people think they will lose muscle by doing too much cardio but that just isn't true.
