Hell no, Your not suppose to max out on cardio after weight training, what little carbs you have left from weight lifting will be ate up in a heart beat, then what would be the next source of energy your body is gonna pull from based on your intensity of cardio?
If you were to do hiit, sprinting or some type of intense cardio, it should be during a day off and not after weight training.
walking provides the best bang for burning straight grams of fat versus carbs but it's the slowest form to burn fat. IMO taking BCAA after working out then hitting cardio is a waste cause 2 grams of aminos isn't gonna preserve 180lbs of muscle that's non sense. It would be favorable to intake a protein shake that has like 30-40 grams of protein then tread easy on cardio for 20-30 mins if you have some concern about catabolic state. It would be best to keep your Heart Rate low during cardio to burn 95% fat vs. carb ratio.
As far as for me, I worked on the elliptical machine to level 21 of 25 to the point as if I was power walking with a ave hear rate of 118 or so. Within a 30 min session I'm clearing more then over 1100 cal deflict, I know that 95 percent of that is fats divide 900 by 9 is 100 grams of fat in that session!
IMO I believe that everyone would work up to that level of cardio so that can have that in their back pocket whenever they wanna run a cut cycle or knock off some water bloat.
