cheating on your diet?

I have read and have been told that cheating on your diet is very important. For your Sanity as well as other reasons. Is this correct? If so when should Ibegin to cheat? How many times? (1 a week? more then once? every 2 weeks?) I heard that it shouldnt be a cheat day just a meal. What exactly does that mean? Can I have Mcdonalds, cookies, pasta, etc.? Im on my third day dieting now. I need something to look foward too. My friend said I shouldnt cheat for 3 weeks. I think I might go insane, but if that what you tell me i should do , ill do.

I normally allow myself a cheat meal once a week. I don't cheat for the whole day though or I'll feel like crap. I do believe that it's important to have that cheat meal once a week. Unless of course you're dieting down for a contest, then cheating is out!:)
 
Lucky you....lol...What are you going to have..my mouth is watering..lol..But should I have one my first week?

Lately I've been going out for chicken wings but the last batch was so fatty, it turned me right off of them. They weren't crispy, they were just real fatty and soft......blah!
So tomorrow, I do believe I'll eat some cajun chicken alfredo!:D
If you don't feel you need to have a cheat day in the first week, then don't. I don't ALWAYS have a cheat meal during the week. Sometimes I don't feel like it. I love tuna, egg whites, and I especiall love oatmeal. I eat them every day and i never get sick of them. So, sometimes I just eat some oatmeal and add a little half and half cream on it as my cheat meal. :yumyum:
 
I dont mind eating most of the foods on my diet. I cant stand the protien Im drinking(Isopure Low Carb) Any suggestions on a better tasting protein that is well suited for my diet? Well last night after school I was starving and on my way to the gym. It was either go to the gym or go home and eat. So i stopped at Mcdonalds got the grilled chicken and ate it with out the bread and Mayo. Guess thats my cheat meal for the week...lol
 
Ok the way i do it when on my super low carb cutter for the summer is as follows...

I eat 50-100 carb a day, 8 meals, 300 pro, cals kep them low but dont really count them, same with fat..

Now come Sunday i dont only cheat i eat everything i could get my paws on. Pizza, Ice cream whatever u like..

If i dont do this not only will i go insane but i have close to zero energy.
I also think its important so u dont start loosing muscle..

What happens to me is the next day ill gain an easy 8 lbs and fell strong as hell as well as look a little bloated..

3 days later ill be back down to my ideal weight of 193 and look more veiny and tight then ever before..

Alot of people mite not agree with me maybe but i dropped down from 14% b to around 5-6 in 3 months of doing this strict diet...

My goals was to get a somewhat six pack and with the help of this diet, a little Win, And Fina i got a 7-8 pack with veins on my stomach..
